This article reads like a summary: a vast set of achievements, but still
needs all the content to be added. Work for us all, methinks. 112.118.182.43 (talk) 16:03, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing

[edit]

{{Request edit}} Glad you asked: the quote (in the Quotes section) comes from a 1991 interview with the Academy of Achievement, the text of which is available online here. I've prepared the following citation to be added but I would prefer not to add it myself, since the Academy happens to be a client:

<ref name=Academy>{{cite web |url=http://www.achievement.org/autodoc/printmember/ear0int-1 |title=Interview: Sylvia Earle Undersea Explorer |author= |date=27 January 1991 |work=Academy of Achievement |publisher= |accessdate=4 April 2012}}</ref>

I'll ping Polmandc, but if anyone's willing to make this addition, I'd appreciate it. Cheers, WWB Too (talk) 02:09, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Ex-"husband

[edit]

Graham Hawkes is Sylvia's ex-husband. His page notes the interval. 50.53.252.49 (talk) 05:05, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

List of quotes moved to Wikiquotes

[edit]

I've transferred the list of quotations to Wikiquote/Sylvia Earle, per WP:NOTQUOTE. One or two carefully selected quotes (e.g. widely reprinted by third party sources) might be pertinent in this encyclopedia article to illustrate key aspects of her biography, but an indiscriminate list is unwarranted. Creating a Hope Spots article

[edit]

I am interested in creating a new wikipedia article about Hope Spots because one does not currently exist. Is this a good idea? TealPenguinFoot (talk) 17:00, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
