Storm of LoveSturm der Liebe – Sturm der Liebe is the original name of this soap opera, and we should revert to that. 87.3.88.167 (talk) 10:21, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • If somewhere is a source where reads English name "Storm of Love", then we should not rename that article, but if no, then we have to rename. --Stryn (talk) 11:44, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, per WP:UE: "If there is no established English-language treatment for a name, translate it if this can be done without loss of accuracy and with greater understanding for the English-speaking reader." International Herald Tribune says "'Sturm der Liebe,' or Storm of Love". Gardner's True Romance gives "Sturm der Liebe (Storm of Love)." So the sources don't expect the English-speaking reader to understand the untranslated title. Kauffner (talk) 20:30, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mild support, the first hit for "Storm of Love" + "soap" in GB is actually "a television Christian soap opera called "Storm of Love" in Brazil (Jacobsen 2011), then the second was "Storm of Love was the bestselling telenovela from Germany. (Guerrero 2009) and the third and final was "the abundance of multi-sequel TV romances, which with titles such as Sturm der Liebe (Storm of Love) or Verliebt in Berlin" - distinctly underwhelming. Inevitably "Storm of Love" + "Television" turns up more for the Buck Owens song, see Storm of Love (disambiguation) (which I just made), and the song, in a multitude of covers is what comes up on Amazon.com. • @Kauffner: Those they aren't official sources. So why Verbotene Liebe's voice hasn't Forbidden Love's title? --87.3.88.167 (talk) 19:11, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
