Announced VIA Facebook, Kellin Quinn has become work on a side project titled "Taco Enema" — Preceding unsigned comment added by V.a.wheldon (talkcontribs) 20:51, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Screamo is not actually a genre of music, and post-hardcore music does quite often have screamed vocals in it. SWS are a Post-Hardcore band, and that is what they call themselves. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Welchy720 (talkcontribs) 01:00, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Members & Origin

[edit]

Sleeping with Sirens has undergone major lineup changes that should be reflected here. Before Lawson, Hills, and Barham joined the band the original lineup wrote and recorded demos that led to them being signed to Tragic Hero and eventually Rise Records. The original lineup can be seen by simply googling Sleeping with Sirens as an image search, the very 1st picture that shows up demonstrates the founding members of sleeping with sirens. Sleeping with Sirens also does currently reside in Grand Rapids Michigan but was formed, recorded, and wrote their music in Orlando Florida. This can be verified by viewing their hometown section of their myspace, they are indeed a great band. It has been stated by Kellin that the band is breaking up after Warped Tour 2012, because Kellin wants to focus on his family.

Jesse Lawson isn't the lead guitarist, Jack Fowler is. They're wrong in the members section. Lawson does do backing vocals though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.105.161.42 (talk) 00:41, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The fact that they are currently in the process of writing their new album should be added. I would add it myself but I can not get the link to Rise Records' Facebook post stating it.

[edit]

Would someone please change the members of the band from all Kellin Quinn to the Actual names of the band. It is unfair on the rest of them and very unreliable for people who want to know more about Sleeping With Sirens. Please change the site members to:

Kellin Quinn - Vocals

Jesse Lawson - Guitar Jack Fowler - Guitar Gabe Barham - drums Justin Hills - Bass

Thanks for reading i just think it is very mean to leave out the other people in the band, they are just as important. Kellin isn't the only one in Sleeping With Sirens. Thanks again. Aimiedonegan (talk) 14:39, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Genres

[edit]

Please removed "emo" from the genres as there is no source claiming they are. People with knowledge of the genre know they are far from emo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.172.151.136 (talk) 02:40, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Who are "people with knowledge of the genre" though? I've listened to some SWS and it sounds bloody close to perfectly matching what the page on Emo describes the genre as. Not to mention its popularity in the subculture in the early 2010s. Both of which are more authoritative here than emo purism you seem to be exercising, just like a lot of people on the Panic! talk page seemed to years back. --62.197.243.44 (talk) 16:08, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Under the "Let's Cheers to This and If You Were a Movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack (2011–2012)" section, there are two formatting mistakes I wish to correct. The first is that in the third sentence, "bands" should be changed to the possessive "band's" in the context of the sentence. The second is that "halloween" in the last sentence should be capitalized. Ccevol2014 (talk) 14:29, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
