Notability / Orphan

rdate is a legacy command that is available on the grand majority of Unix/linux machines on the planet. On legacy systems, it is used instead of ntp. As such, it is important to have an article explaining what it is, and describe the difference between it and more recent protocols. I have also removed the Orphan tag, and have linked to this article in TIME Protocol and various ntp-related articles. Jim no.6 (talk) 19:21, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
