page move?

[edit]

This article has been at Poppy (entertainer) since 2018, so almost 5 years, however I noticed today FMSky has moved it to Poppy (singer) without any discussion and as far as I can tell, no reasoning in the edit summary and no reason that is obvious to me. I don't know if entertainer was the right way to DAB it but it at least requires a discussion before making any major changes. PRAXIDICAE🌈 15:50, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

i just made a bold move to a more accurate description🤷 --FMSky (talk) 15:51, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
According to who? And you really need to explain your logic in your edit summaries when making such bold moves, especially on long standing articles. PRAXIDICAE🌈 15:53, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the fact that she's a singer and entertainer being too vague --FMSky (talk) 15:54, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think that back when a significant amount of her output and fame came from youtube videos "entertainer" was fine. But nowadays she is firmly in the "singer" category. Most artists have some medium-spanning work, but if one form of work clearly dominates Wikipedia has and should identify them as such instead of using vague or general categories. Is it possible for you to find a more fitting photo for "YouTube career" than the one that is currently there? I think there are more photos of her that deserves attention. KaiMartinsen94 (talk) 21:37, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"YouTuber" category

[edit]

Do you think we should remove "YouTuber" and maybe replace it with "former YouTuber" or "actress"? Because she hasn't been active on YouTube for about two years, she only posts music videos on that channel. I'd say it's better to replace it with "actress" since 'Poppy' was a character played by Moriah. Also is there a source that says she's a model? Mars Argo lawsuit

[edit]

Should we mentioned the Mars Argo lawsuit here? 2600:100C:A20C:6C0F:50CD:626F:D8AA:6020 (talk) 22:22, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
