Divorce year?

[edit]

1954 or 1956? This article and that for Stuart Piggott have different years.188.31.75.156 (talk) 19:43, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mortimer-Wheeler

[edit]

It is no secret that MW was often shagging his students. In the biography by Jaquetta Hawkes "Adventurer in Archaeology" she mentions this in gross, but rarely names names. Is there any evidence that MW cooked Guido breakfast? (Serious question!) I've known Peggy well during the last 7 years of her life. A common friend, also an archaeologist, once said to me she was sure that Wheeler "had made a pass on Peggy". --Mathilde2009 (talk) 15:20, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
