Ilganbests repositoryILBE – According to ILBE's privacy, official english name is ‘ILBE’. Idh0854 (talk) 11:16, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

‘ILBE’ is abbreviation for ‘Ilgan Best’, and it is a unit hompage's url address. --Idh0854 (talk) 02:22, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
ILBE redirects to a different article Improved Load Bearing Equipment. Do you have any evidence that this is better known as ILBE because if not it would need to be ILBE (website) or something?--174.93.164.125 (talk) 21:54, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As per 174.93.164.125, ILBE means the US Marines' Improved Load Bearing Equipment in English printed sources. This website is Ilgan Best in English printed sources. Please see WP:COMMONNAME. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:07, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Abusing of terminology.

[edit]

Don't abuse the term 'far-right' on specific people improperly. 'Far-right' is often used when someone is fascist, nativist, racist. Far-right politics usually has anti-immigration strongly, then I agree on using the term 'Far-right' on Ilbe and I do not edit the phrases related to that. Sometimes nationalist is described as 'Far-right', but 'Only' 'excessive' nationalrism, which express strong hostility to other nations or races. But Cho Gap-je and Kim Younghwan is not. Both Cho and Kim is the very anti-NK activist, but you can't use the term on them. You can't condemn people only because they have strong objection to NK or communism. Nobody describes Ronald Reagan or Margaret Thatcher as 'Far-right' politician. Kim Younghwan is the most renowned activist tryng to democratize NK. You can't condemn Kim as 'far-right', who tries to make NK democratic country and Kim dynasty collapsed, preparing for death. It's the same story you condemn Suzanne Scholte as 'Far-right' activist. Don't use the term as rhetoric but terminology. Don't be arbitrary with no explanation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.96.82.88 (talk) 08:55, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ilbe's hostile attitude towards coloured people and blacks ,specifically African-Americans, should be also mentioned. http://www.ilbe.com/6160204149 http://www.ilbe.com/6159941960

There is heavy opposition against the police brutality specifically against Blacks in the US. Also, the wartime commander-in-chief of the Ilbe members is currently a Black man. (the army sergeant rank as former conscripts is the last and only status most of the Ilbe members will ever achieve during their lifetime) The Ilbe members act as if they were some kind of white supremacists of low social class but the fact is that they will never be accepted by them as one of their own, unlike the Japanese(as Japan was an Axis member during WW2). As for the Gwangju democratization movement and other democracy movements, Ilbe's hostile attitude is not very special as many "right wing" organizations have been opposing as well due to 1)compensation issues(those participated in Vietnam war as conscripts are not veterans while former students heavily injured or imprisoned during the movement have a higher veteran status). One thing that should be pointed out that Ilbe is lying is that Ilbe ignores (or denies) that there were armed standoffs during the 4.19 democracy movement as well.(http://ilwar.com/fact/130507?from=my) This, the claim that the Gwangju movement was a "riot" just because there was armed resistance is totally flawed. Also, former activists worked out hard their way fo become IT venturers, law and accounting professionals and stock brokers during the '90s when they were still under job ban, unlike Ilbe members most of which are of lower class. They have no right to speak ill of democracy veterans, black and coloured people and the democracy movement generation. Those who support a harsh rule with no freedom du this because they are not capable of anything and thus cannot but lean on state brutality, specifically a militarist police state. 2)they support an authoritarian social order like during Yushin dictatorship and oppose the US First Amendment I was surprised to see multiple right-wing articles titled "민주화세력 처단". All while Korea's establishment has moved away from Western values and more towards China(they support Chinese-style Internet censorship for example). Korean establishment regardless of political side has sharply criticized the Hong Kong democracy movement which was supported by then entire West(including Japan) and even Chinese Taibei. There are a small number of liberals in Korea who have solid jobs but they are now silenced. I suggest that the Ilbe case should be examined more closely and the article here revised to reflect this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noob2013 (talkcontribs) 01:14, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ilbe supporting white supremacist neonazi groups in Europe: http://www.ilbe.com/7098909851 http://saveilbe.com/7477114496 The NPD, a german neonazi party, has a history of supporting North Korea long ago as it sent money to NK. So Ilbe in fact supports nazi and north korea. Article of supporting Hitler: http://www.ilbe.com/7334389883 "Germany's economy growth is because of hitler" Racist article against black people: http://www.ilbe.com/7461521714 Using the N-word which is illegal to use in the US: http://www.ilbe.com/7457862347 These are just a few examples proving Ilbe's political orientation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noob2013 (talkcontribs) 01:35, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

most koreans have little interest in anime

[edit]

But anime is one of the biggest boards on the site. They are not real conservatives with a unified ideology in the colloquial sense. They are just a bunch of anons. And tranime chuds are actually mentally closer to liberals if you actually psychoanalyze them and quite far from being actual conservatives. Pixlsi (talk) 01:02, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An account created solely for this article. This account is expected to soon be actively searching all wikis for similar content. 인서울은진리 (talk) 05:05, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@인서울은진리 First, focus on content, not the contributor. Second, since the source is an archive showing posts from a single user, please explain how the source supports a claim about site users overall, which is how it's being used currently. —C.Fred (talk) 12:44, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And since the text in question was added relatively recently by you, I have removed it from the article until consensus is reached. —C.Fred (talk) 12:48, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As can be seen from the source, 1등급홍과어 received a lot of support from Ilbe users for its hateful content against Chinese women, so it continued to go to Ilbe, and it is clear that there are many Ilbe users who hate Chinese women. 인서울은진리 (talk) 23:31, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@인서울은진리 What independent reliable sources have stated as much? —C.Fred (talk) 12:28, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's just a fact, like the facts commonly used in wikis. Is there a better source than facts?

We cannot make an assumption about all users of a site based on the posts of one or two users. —C.Fred (talk) 01:16, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If that's the case, there is no hate in this world. So only Hitler hated Jews, not the Nazis hated Jews. 인서울은진리 (talk) 02:55, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
인서울은진리, if it's a fact, it'll be supported in independent, reliable sources. If there are those reliable sources in languages other than English:

"Citations to non-English reliable sources are allowed on the English Wikipedia. However, because this project is in English, English-language sources are preferred over non-English ones when they are available and of equal quality and relevance. As with sources in English, if a dispute arises involving a citation to a non-English source, editors may request a quotation of relevant portions of the original source be provided, either in text, in a footnote, or on the article talk page."

Like C.Fred said above, we can't make an assumption based off the posts of a handful of users. Doing so constitutes original research. Schrödinger's jellyfish  04:25, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
