Deletion?

[edit]

Does this page deserve to exist? This is a self promotion/advertising space. The subject is not well known or famous. She has a youtube account that has moderate interest and I think she appeared as an extra on David Letterman once for about 3 seconds. This cheapens wikipedia when people use it as a marketing tool to try and appear more well known than they are. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.64.36.233 (talk) 18:20, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since I created this page almost 2 years ago, her YouTube channel has gone from about 80,000 to almost 2 million subscribers, which I believe speaks for itself. I guess the Letterman bit really isn't that relevant anymore, but I don't see how that diminishes the rest of her accomplishments. Did you even read the article?
I can assure you that I am just a longtime fan and not affiliated with Helbig or her employers in any other way. Furthermore, she mentioned in an interview she did recently that she deleted some things from this page that she didn't want to be in it (I am 99% certain that these are her edits: Special:Contributions/74.73.126.223)
I will concede that the article could use a cleanup -- preferably done by someone with better writing skills than me.
If you still want to nominate the article for deletion, you will need to follow the official guidelines.

(In response to IP... editor) The article is supported by numerous reliable sources specifically referring to this person - how is she not notable? Nikthestunned 14:40, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

section Television cleanup

[edit]

The section labeled 'Television', specifically the list of appearances, desperately needs a cleanup so that it reflects significant appearances as opposed to every single time a video camera has been pointed towards her, i.e. C-SPAN taping her walking into the White House Correspondent's Dinner. As I'm only looking at this entry because of an annoying ad next to a crossword and have no familiarity with the subject, I'm uncertain as to what, exactly, is important in terms of this person, and would probably delete way too much. I do believe that Grace Helbig is notable enough to have an article. L.cash.m (talk) 13:47, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the list is extremely crowded with insignificant "appearances." It's impossible to find what you're looking for. In my case it was "from whence have I heard of this person?" and after slowly scanning the list, I still can't figure it out because of all the detritus. I too am not sure of who this person is and why she is famous, so it's difficult for me to tell what would be significant. Nerg! And cheers! Mogandlola (talk) 16:22, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This is still a problem. The whole article suffers from for the most part just being a series of one sentence paragraphs with weak celebrity magazine style sourcing. The complete list of podcast episodes is also too much for a wiki article. Ashmoo (talk) 12:18, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Relationships

[edit]

It is a known fact around Grace Helbig that she is in fact dating Chester See. Nobody has confirmed this but is this somethine we should add to her page?Hippoplumpy (talk) 20:14, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You need to find a WP:Reliable source that gives the information. Then it can be added, and your source cited. See WP:V for more information. -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:56, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
