Themes

[edit]

The themes section of this page is largely research done by non-specialists, or the equivalent of a sparknotes/enotes page. If someone has done a recent piece on Bierce anywhere, or is familiar with Bierce criticism (I know there are a lot of people out there who are), it would help, I think, to clean up and 'themes' section of the page. This could be done by adding some references to legitimate scholarly work--there's a lot of it on this short story specifically, probably more than any other Bierce piece, as evidenced by the "further reading" section. --Hobomok (talk) 23:04, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
