Article Style

[edit]

This article is a bit too wordy for me, which is why I've added the {{essay-entry}} template. See A1 and A66 for good examples of how a roads article should be laid out, and not simply a narrative of all its waypoints, which is not useful for an encyclopedia. Cambridge Road

[edit]

"Cambridge Road" redirects to this article. Since there are other roads in the world having the same name, I'm turning it into a disambig page. --Deryck C. 12:30, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Triple Carriageway

[edit]

What on earth is a triple carriageway? Did the original writer mean a three lane dual carriageway? Triple carriageway would imply three entirely distinct sets of lanes each separated by barriers and possibly a grass central reservation between each of the three carriageways.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.154.25.30 (talkcontribs)

Having read the article, I know where the ambiguity comes from. I think what is meant, is that there will be a contiguous dual carriageway and a single carriageway. The single carriageway would serve local traffic, and the dual carriageway for through traffic (cf. A1(M) and A168 in Yorkshire)  — superbfc talk | cont ] — 18:10, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Major junctions

[edit]

Hello. Please note that I have reduced the amount of major junctions on this page from 35 to 11. If you can, then please try to get below ten. If not, then I will do it in the new year. Roads4117 (talk) 19:24, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
