unbiased title: Iranian air defense system shoot-down of American drone

[edit]
@Juxlos: the current title is biased because it seems only American drone that has the importance of being referenced. However, Iranian technology is equally important, the Iranian air defense system shouldn't be censored in the title. Rajabi.abolghasem (talk) 13:36, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
How else will Iranians shoot down a drone? Removing the word "drone" makes it incomprehensible while "air defense" is too much detail - it's obvious that you use air defenses to shoot somethig down. The new title is just redundant and frankly silly. Juxlos (talk) 14:05, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The current title of “2019 shoot-down of American drone” appears to be sufficient. Garuda28 (talk) 15:22, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Missing an "Iranian" there. But yeah. Close enough. InedibleHulk (talk) 04:01, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Juxlos:Iran's first response to a foreign drone violating its airspace is hacking it like Iran–U.S. RQ-170 incident, but this drone seemed more secure so after warnings, air defense shut it down. Some American drones are captured by helicopter and and fishing net. In one instance Israeli Apache helicopters downed Iranian drone. So air defense is not the only option for downing drones and its presence in the title reduces ambiguity. In these instances, both sides have technologies in place but the more potent one's technology is often highlighted and the other sides are neglected. This is unconscious bias so it is hard to notice.Rajabi.abolghasem (talk) 05:19, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rajabi.abolghasem we aren't gonna say how the drone was shoot-down in the title. If the reader is interested he/she should read the article. Please try to improve the article instead of wasting your time with the title. We need your help. Thank you.--SharabSalam (talk) 05:24, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of Blank-and-Redirect

[edit]

By the way, I've blanked and redirected Executive Order 13876 to the section "Cyber attacks and sanctions" based on estimated non-notability of the order (also based on Wikipedia:NOTNEWS) and the decent coverage of the topic here. —Danre98(talk^contribs) 18:32, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
