Race 14?

[edit]

Question - does anyone here know when Race 14, if necessary, will be held? The schedule on the website seems to be ignoring the fact that New Zealand starts with a -1, making a Race 14 entirely plausible. ScorpiumX (talk) 05:11, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No, I had wondered that. The protocol doesn't allow for more than 3 races a day, so I guess it would continue on the 28th. Mattlore (talk) 05:37, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
However, by the Protocol, the 13th race would also move to the 28th, as the only way three races a day could be held is if the the third race was the last one, or if the Cup was behind schedule. Which date should I use for Race 13? ScorpiumX (talk) 05:45, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
While I agree with you, as the calendar on the website has race 13 on the 28th, I think we have to stay with that unless we have reliable sources stating otherwise - not just our own interpretation of the protocol. Mattlore (talk) 20:41, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Moot now but I'd point out a race 14 was impossible barring weird additional penalties etc unless race 13 could have been a definite decider. Was there actually some guidance on how the director decides whether a 3rd should be held other than could be decider? Nil Einne (talk) 18:45, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The other day the official website had been updated so that the 13th and 14th races were on the 28th, as ScorpiumX had surmised. The 14th was possible because it was first to 7 and TNZ started on -1. Mattlore (talk) 02:18, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Team Songs

[edit]

Does anyone know if there is a list available anywhere of the theme songs used by the teams during their walk-outs as part of the various ceremonies? The use of "Land Down Under" in the 1983 and "Loyal" in the 2003 Cup cycles are noted on those songs' pages, and "Back in Black" appears to have been used by Oracle in both the 2013 and 2017 competitions, while New Zealand used "Runnin'". If citations can be found for the songs used by each campaign, similar notes could be added to those songs' pages where appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:EE8C:6300:BCC2:C137:15AA:2216 (talk) 05:49, 1 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
