Is it common to name non musical people on pages Brockhampton (band)

[edit]

So this page was in my watch list due to vandalism, it is very hard to confirm who is in the band at times as their own website doesn't really list the members. But users want to list everyone so we see creative direction, webmaster, management, photography etc all listed on the article. I'm not sure what is normal process here to list members so any help would be appreciated. NZFC(talk) 23:51, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

[edit]

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:39, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

about dependent (component) charts

[edit]

I think that wikipedia guideline are not recommend dependent charts (Wikipedia:CHARTMATH). that use almost for K-POP artist pages, forexample BTS_discography - billboard "world chart", Shinee_discography - billboard "top Heatseekers", and Big_Bang_discography... but nobody correct it. why? is it OK like this??--Katanori04 (talk) 09:52, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Parser error

[edit]

This page contains too many expensive parser function calls. It should have less than 500 calls, there are now 583 calls. This is causing error messages to appear in the birthday section. Please can a knowledgeable editor remove some of the less vital content? Previous discussion: WT:WikiProject Portals/Design#Discussions about technical issues. Thanks, Certes (talk) 18:18, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

andrybak, you seem to be the last one to work on this portal. The above problem is still present after two years. Birthday section is full of error messages. MB 14:21, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@MB: Thanks for reminding us about this. I've analysed further, and the call to {{calendar}} in Portal:Music/DateOfBirth/August was ridiculously expensive for reasons I don't understand. I've added a workaround, which I can copy to the other months before the portal breaks again next week. Certes (talk) 16:08, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Certes, For reasons I don't understand, the problem caused this portal to be listed in Category:Portal templates with redlinked portals. There were no redlinked portals, but I suspected this may have been a side-affect of the parser problem. All fixed now. I monitor that category, so I this happens again I will probably notice it. Icon

[edit]

This portal needs an icon. DaydreamBelizer (talk) 20:45, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There's a good selection here. Certes (talk) 21:03, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Certes, this one would be perfect. Who could add it?
In the meantime, this would be perfect for the Rock Music portal. Again, I have no idea how to do it. DaydreamBelizer (talk) 21:33, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The icon names live in Module:Portal/images/m and Module:Portal/images/r which are template-editor protected. You could put in an edit request at Template talk:Portal, which is where the modules' talk pages redirect. Certes (talk) 21:48, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Assuming I did it right. xD DaydreamBelizer (talk) 22:37, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
