New Douglas Township is located in Madison County, Illinois, in the United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 509 and it contained 238 housing units.[2]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 20.96 square miles (54.3 km2), of which 20.9 square miles (54 km2) (or 99.71%) is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 km2) (or 0.29%) is water.[2]
