Draft:Alison Teal (Former Sheffield Green Councillor)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alison Teal is a former Sheffield Green Councillor [1], who is standing as an Independent candidate in the upcoming UK General Election [2] .

Teal was formerly Sheffield Council cabinet member for Sustainable Neighbourhoods, Wellbeing, Parks and Leisure which included responsibility for the city's library service [3] which had controversially transferred the majority of it's libraries to volunteers in 2014 when the council was under Labour control, a policy Teal did nothing to change during her tenure [4] .
