You are not talking to yourself, I use your guidebook all the time both at work, and for hobby projects. Thanks very much for the time you've put into it. Selden: please remove this comment, after you've seen it. I would have commented on the web forum but it's dead, I can host the form if needed.
In case you're unfamiliar with WikiBook conventions:
- comment = edit any of the "discussion" pages, including this one.

document improvements
[edit source]- "ESA Avanced Concepts Team overview of design tools" link is broken.

Page Naming Conventions and Breadcrumbs
[edit source]I've moved the Celestia pages which contained colons in their names so that now they have slashes (/) instead. While this might cause some problems for off-site links to the pages (e.g. google) I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
WikiBooks has been encouraging a revised page naming convention: Instead of including colons(:), names of pages should include slashes (/) to separate the parts of the name which refer to the "parent" pages in the book's hierarchy.
When slashes are used, the WikiMedia software automatically generates a "trail of breadcrumbs" at the top of each page, linking to all of its parent pages.
Many of the pages of this Guide to Celestia used to contain manually generated breadcrumbs using inconsistent formats and locations. I've been deleting them in favor of the automatically generated breadcrumbs. I've also made a request in the "Staff Lounge" for a breadcrumb template so that they can be semi-automatically included elsewhere on pages. Change of book's informal name
[edit source]I changed Celestia User's Guide and Reference to Guide to Celestia a while ago because "User's Guide" is in the name of Frank Gregorio's document describing how to use Celestia. New section: where to get data for catalog files
[edit source]Hi, I think it might be useful to add a new section that details where to find data that can be used in SSC, STC, and DSC files. For example, NASA's JPL Small-Body Database Browser has orbital elements for use in SSCs, while SIMBAD is useful for STCs and DSCs. Any thoughts?
