Last month Cezary Subaczewski took a new step in his BEC career and became the Manager for his Agile Delivery team. 🎊 📈 🥂 Cezary says, "I had a strong leadership team behind me to recommend me for the position, and that was super encouraging. When I landed the job, I had all of them congratulating me and shaking my hand, saying that this is the right person, in the right place, right now. I can't be more grateful to all those people." One such leader who helped Cezary in his recruitment process was Thomas Byrdal, our Development Director of Omnichannel. He explains, "I believe that, as directors, we should spend the time to mentor and point people to the positions that fit them best, so I was really happy to offer some advice and guidance for Cezary." Cezary's director, Bjarne Stech, also shares his view of Cezary's new role. "Normally, you would say 'hire for attitude, train for skills'- but in this case, I was able to get both. Congratulations to the winners of this year’s BEC Talent Hackathon:Catrine Christensen, Tomasz Kołakowski, Dawid Wojtasiński, Søren Tanggaard Frederiksen and Mikolaj Barcik! 🥂 The winning team came up with an impressive IT solution that focused on efficiently utilizing the office space. Team member, Dawid Wojtasiński, explains, “For me, the best part was the close collaboration and the opportunity to create something from start to finish. We spent a lot of time analyzing the problem and trying to go beyond standard patterns. We didn't want to make a standard solution, something that comes to mind first.” During the three-day, brain-itching event, 48 participants team up and are challenged to create solutions for real business cases in BEC. Not only is it a lot of fun, but it also allows our talents to take control, be resourceful and dig into their creativity. Well done to all the talents who took part in the hackathon and a big thank you to everyone who helped make this event a reality! #CodeLearnGrow
