I just replaced the fluorescent bulb and the starter (but not yet the ballast, see question)
before going ahead I noticed that also the electric outlets don't work
I changed the fuses with no result, could it be the resistance (?) in the mid picture?

  • Did you check circuit-breakers and GFCI outlets?? Looks like the old lamps might have been good.

  • the power outlets are connected as shown in the middle picture, maybe the dark gray thingy (I suspect it to be a resistance) is responsible for the outlets not working, what do you think?

  • I changed the fuses of the circuit breaker (which is the same for the whole kitchen apparently) and nothing changes, do you think the outlets are causing the lamp not to work too?
