Requirements

Your Role

We are launching a highly strategic, exciting project with some of the largest financial institutions in the world to solve a sustainability data problem through our technology offering. This project aims to transform how companies share sustainability data with the financial sector and to alleviate significant reporting burdens which currently exist. To execute on this project and chart the next commercial growth phase of the company, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced project manager to support client stakeholder management and internal development priorities.

You will be part of the Product Office and Research Team within ESG Book, reporting directly into the company's senior management team. You'll work directly with our sales team and (prospective) clients to determine how to deploy our data and technology solutions to fit their needs and train their teams to work with and integrate the data so that it is used as effectively as possible. Simultaneously, you'll organise, and relay client needs to the product management team to help shape how our offering evolves. Further, you will be directly involved in product development work such as value-add analysis, cost benefit analysis and product research.

As a Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to represent the company externally with senior (prospective) clients as well as work with a variety of internal stakeholders (technology, research, data) to execute on our vision.

What we expect from you

  • We need you to be a problem solver. The problems you solve will be diverse, and you approach these with enthusiasm, creativity, an analytical mindset, and purpose
  • We need you to be independent. You're comfortable asking for guidance when needed but, since you're a smart self-learner, you'll make sure you've used your available toolset to come up with an answer first
  • We need you to be efficient. A good grasp of technology and common software (e.g. MS Office) is essential, and you're always looking for tricks or new tools you can build to get the job done more efficiently. A quantitative background can significantly help with that but is not required
  • We need you to be passionate. Passionate about sustainability, passionate about technology, and passionate about people

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline (e.g., finance, business, economics, environmental studies);
  • At least 3+ years' professional experience in a client-facing function in a fast-paced working environment, preferably in but not limited to the financial services and consulting industries
  • Strong project management and execution experience
  • Superior proficiency/skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Language skills: Fluent in English and German;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: ability to communicate technical and quantitative topics to a range of stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and mindset
  • Motivation: self-starter, entrepreneurial, ability to work independently;
  • Versatility: able to work on multiple projects under time-constraints (and remain cool and collected!)
