For our international group we are looking for a: Senior Global Lead Buyer (m/f/d) as soon as possible:

Aufgabenschwerpunkte

• The SGB-SMIT Group Global Lead Buyer is responsible for several major direct material groups and leads global commodity teams with members from all affected locations
• Develop and lead material group strategies action plan (e.g. with regard to analysis, planning, implementation, global and local supplier mix, product contingents etc.)
• Obtains information from vendors, suppliers and publishers on matters like costs, ordering instructions, and returns. Maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Realize Group savings targets for the respective material groups and implement the agreed strategies in all individual locations
• Lead group negotiations with suppliers in alignment with several locations
• Develop and visit existing suppliers important to the Group; identify and introduce new suppliers where required or transfer existing suppliers to other Group locations
• Be the escalation point for local units in case of supplier issues (e.g. negotiation support for large claims)
• Track supplier’s performance based on KPIs (i.e. On Time Delivery, Quality)
• Deliver results based on costs, day payable outstanding, on-time delivery, quality
• Act as consultant to communicate and coach procurement organizations to introduce new supplier
• Support in new supplier validation audits (if needed)
• Issue reports and present progress at project meetings
• Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends
• Performs budget analysis as required and prepares reports and data analysis for management
• Be responsible for managing claims with Vendors and develop appropriate settlement plan
  
  

Profil

• Degree in industrial engineering, business administration or comparable qualifications
• Several years of experience as a Lead Buyer or a leader of cross-functional teams in the industrial business environment, in best case in transformer industry.
• Extraordinary skills in:
• analytics,
• project and process management,
• self-organisation, -structuring and -prioritization,
• assertiveness combined with capacity in teamwork,
• communication to internal and external Stakeholders.
• Business fluent English as well as experienced in negotiations and with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
