Senior Finance Manager

Our client acquires medium-sized companies and parts of groups based in Europe that show a potential for operational improvement.

Our client is looking for a Finance Manager to join their operations team with a successful track record. This role will be located at portfolio companies across Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees several work streams for big projects.
• Fills positions for temporary CFOs on bigger projects.
• Prior experience managing a team of professionals.
• Provides the team with clear direction and ensures that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed team standards, roles, and expectations.
• Develops and coaches direct reports; on projects, makes the most of each team member's strengths.
• Uses in-depth knowledge of the primary drivers of a client's business to make decisions and provide advice.
• Is capable of making a significant effect in a commercial setting by utilising knowledge.
• Applying a methodical approach, finds problems in a variety of scenarios fast and sensibly.
• Conducts in-depth, comprehensive analyses of topics.
• Appoints the right specialists as necessary.

Requirements:

• Graduated from college, ideally in the top 20% or top tiered universities.
• International leadership reorganisation experience in consulting or industry.
• Proof of a successful career advancement.
• Demonstrated capacity for international team leadership and motivation (ideally in turnaround scenarios)
• Strong grasp of managerial accounting, including P&L analysis, and financial analysis to prioritise and identify required improvement strategies.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and the capacity for original thought.
• Information presented and communicated professionally, with audience adaptation.
• A desire to travel - Proficiency in one or more European languages (German, Spanish, French, Italian, etc.) and English.
• Demonstrated ability to create value for a private equity portfolio firm.
