Senior Accountant / General Ledger (all genders)

Your role

As a Senior Accountant / General Ledger, we are looking for a multi-talented, driven individual with an eye for detail. Play a key role in building the Finance function of our brand new company Yoshi En, but at the same time be part of the open and warm Finance team of Sunday Group, working closely with the Head of Finance Fatemeh and the CFO Anja.

• You will be responsible for mapping all business transactions, i.e. you will manage the accounts payable, fixed assets and general ledger
• You control the automatically generated and posted outgoing invoices in our ERP 'Odoo'
• You play a key role in the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and prepare statistical reports and the advance VAT returns
• You create intercompany invoices and payment runs and reconcile them accordingly
• You support budgeting and prepare reports in close coordination with management
• You are the contact person for external contacts (e.g. banks, tax advisors, authorities) and optimise our internal accounting and finance processes
  
  

Your profile

• An apprenticeship preferably as an accountant, tax clerk or a commercial degree as well as at least 5 years of professional experience in accounting / finance
• A sound understanding of the German Accounting Principles (HGB), as well as user knowledge of Excel and ERP systems
• You work in a structured, careful and proactive manner and can integrate well into an existing team
• You are very interested in the digitalisation and automation of our finance processes.
• You are located in Berlin or nearby and you speak very good German as well as English (B2 level)
