Job Description
You will work aligned with the Logistic Procurement Category Manager building sourcing projects for the region (for one or more than one CG), identifying key stakeholders, collaborating and advising internal customers to enable the sourcing of Logistics at the best total cost while maximizing value for the organization.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support and implement commodity strategies for assigned categories: include implementation plan, follow up to suppliers and plants on execution, manage minor incidents and provide solutions to any implementation issue
Develop market intelligence with commodity drivers to Logistics portfolio
Analyze and coordinate efforts to develop and implement commodity initiatives / projects to drive savings by proactively support identification, definition and implementation of Logistic savings projects in the plants in scope working with the Logistics network, plant managers and financial team
Run regional or local tenders in coordination with the Logistic Category Procurement Manager, and negotiate commercial agreements for the countries in scope
Construction and validation of Logistic prices budget management for Transportation, Sea freight, Warehousing and other similar, to guarantee the visibility of forecast
Negotiate legal contracts with suppliers with the support of Logistic Category Procurement Manager, local Legal and in accordance with procurement and accounting policies and processes
Accountable of ensuring that once a negotiation is closed, the corresponding Contract repository document (Ariba) is created following the procurement and accounting processes
If delegated by Logistic Category Procurement Manager, responsible of developing, presenting and ask for approval of each gates of the O-I Strategic Sourcing Process for the BU
If delegated by Logistic Category Procurement Manager, negotiate vendor contracts, review vendor performance to assure contract adherence and drive continuous improvements
Support local stakeholders and GBS with the execution of processes related to operational procurement of Logistics (PO, IR, invoice validation) to accomplish negotiated conditions
Participate to the lobbying activity of industrial associations, consortia and commissions at local level, with the support of the Logistic Category Procurement Manager
Lead with the support of the Logistic Category Procurement manager regular cross-functional meetings to exchange information with key stakeholders
SCOPE AND IMPACT
Lead efforts to source cost effective solutions with suppliers to optimize total acquisition cost and ensure project timelines are met, leveraging O-I’s Strategic Sourcing Process.
Provide alternative solutions to problems of shortage of Logistics with suppliers.
Identifying and develop with the plant and Glass Science team alternative suppliers that could help in the future negotiation process.
If any contract issue is identified, understanding the business impact and negotiate or support the negotiation of most favorable conditions for O-I.
Define, propose and get approval of the internal inflation for Logistics following the internal processes defined by O-I.

Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Administration or related field
Five years of proven procurement experience, preference Logistics, transportation of Logistics
Fluent in English. German, Italian or / and French not mandatory, but an advantage
Experience working in industries or consulting companies;
Strong Negotiation skills with proven success in negotiating and drafting contract terms and conditions.
Strong analytical skills
Strategic Sourcing Process (desirable but not exclusionary)
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel (pivot tables), and Word
Working experience with SAP or other ERP systems
Lean Six Sigma capabilities (desirable but not exclusionary)
Project Management skills
