Join our team at Nelsons Germany as Key Account Manager Drug Stores & Grocery! This role will be responsible for the development of our national key customers and report to the Sales Director Germany. By understanding our customers' needs and offering tailored solutions, you will build strong relationships with the customers, achieve sales and profit goals and deliver long term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee financial targets such as volume, net revenue, investment, and gross profit, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Foster robust relationships with key decision-makers across Category Management, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and E-commerce within targeted Key Accounts.
  • Utilise data analysis & techniques, including market panels and customer extranet data to derive actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute account-specific strategies, focusing on enhancing Shopper satisfaction and fostering loyalty.
  • Share knowledge and insights with national and global commercial teams, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Development of the Drug Store and Grocery strategy around pricing, sales expansion, marketing promotions, supply chain optimisation and financial compliance
  • Regular market and competitor analysis, identifying any emerging trends & opportunities


Requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in Account Management with German Drug Stores and/or Grocery customers is essential, experience in shopper and customer marketing would be wonderful
  • Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Beauty or Pharmaceutical industries is advantageous
  • Profound knowledge of the German retail landscape
  • Customer engagement skills, ability to set up a trusting business relationship with actual and prospect customers.
  • Seeking, identifying, and capitalizing customer opportunities
  • Leadership capabilities in managing multifunctional teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluency in German and English is required
  • Willing to travel about 25% of time
