KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER (Food Channel) (M/F/X)

About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships within your assigned customer portfolio, aiming to achieve sustainable growth in sales, earnings, and market share for De'Longhi Germany. You will ensure that defined targets are met in alignment with the category's sales and marketing strategy. This involves independently planning, preparing, executing, and following up on annual, acquisition, closing, and pricing meetings, as well as documenting these activities.

You must ensure that company targets are achieved in accordance with annual individual target agreements. As a Key Account Manager, you will act as the interface between the customer and De'Longhi Germany, deeply understanding and addressing the needs of key customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactive and independent expansion and maintenance of business relationships with the responsible customer portfolio (Metro Cash & Carry, multi-level food retail);
  • Independent identification and utilisation of market share, sales and earnings potential of De'Longhi Deutschland GmbH in the customer portfolio for which you are responsible;
  • Creation of harmonised account plans at category level to build a strategic customer relationship with the responsible customer base and De'Longhi;
  • Coordination and optimisation of (sellout) activities to ensure that budget targets are met;
  • Continuous and independent tracking of target achievement and driver analyses;
  • Proactive creation, planning and implementation of action plans for identified gaps between target and achievement;
  • Independent presentation and active sales of our products to the customer base for which you are responsible;
  • Goods and sales planning, preparation and implementation of annual, acquisition, closing and price negotiations as well as their follow-up and documentation to ensure learning effects for future business;
  • Effective communication and close coordination with internal departments, such as Product Management, Supply & Demand Planning, Commercial Controlling, Internal Sales and Logistics;
  • Competition and market observation/analyses and derivation of recommendations for action for the respective category;
  • Participation in trade fairs, customer workshops and sales conferences;
  • Collaboration / participation in specialised De'Longhi projects (national / international).
  • Successfully completed studies at university in the field of economics or a comparable education;
  • Sound knowledge & experience (4-5 years) in a similar role;
  • Very good knowledge of sales and marketing tools for sales, revenue and portfolio management;
  • Independent, analytical & systematic way of working as well as goal-orientated task management;
  • Very good MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
  • Proficiency in German is essential, along with a strong knowledge of English;
  • High willingness to travel and flexibility;
  • Team player;
