About The Role

About You

Your Technical Skills:

Help Desk And Support

  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Deskpro) and providing Tier 2-3 support.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Experience with utilising monitoring systems (e.g., PRTG).

System Administration:

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Virtualisation technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.

Desirable Additional Skills and Learning Opportunities:

IT Security

  • Understanding cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Ability to implement and manage security measures (firewalls, anti-virus, intrusion detection systems).

Cloud Services:

  • Experience with cloud platforms like Entra ID, O365, SharePoint.
  • Managing and troubleshooting a video conference system.
  • Ability to manage cloud resources, security, and cost optimisation.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

  • Implementing and managing backup solutions (e.g., Veeam).
  • Developing and testing disaster recovery plans.

Software and Management:

  • Knowledge of software deployment, updates, and patch management.
  • Experience with endpoint management solutions (MS Intune).
  • Configuration and maintenance of ORS or ArcGIS as geodata software.

Network Management:

  • Knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.

Your Profile

  • Completed apprenticeship or degree in a relevant field of study
  • Very good knowledge of English. German is a plus
  • Independent and autonomous work
  • Experience in the following areas is a plus: Microsoft Windows Server, GPO Management, Linux Ubuntu Server, VMware vSphere, Veeam, MSSQL, SharePoint, PRTG, OpenORS
