Head of Systems Engineering (BMS)

Exciting Opportunity with a Leading Innovator in Advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS) for the Automotive Industry. Join the team as Head of Systems Engineering for BMS at a pioneering company. Role Overview:

• Define and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for BMS systems engineering aligned with company goals and market demands. Lead and mentor the team to foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive BMS platform design, architecture, and validation to meet automotive safety, performance, and regulatory standards. Develop cutting-edge algorithms and methodologies for advanced battery monitoring, control, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and testing teams to seamlessly integrate BMS solutions into vehicle platforms. Translate customer needs and market trends into technical requirements and product strategies with product management, marketing, and sales teams.
• Establish rigorous quality assurance processes across the product lifecycle, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with industry regulations. Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in product quality, performance, and manufacturability.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and feedback to empower team members to achieve their full potential and drive innovation. As well as recruit, onboard, and develop top engineering talent. Foster a culture of learning, growth, and excellence.

Background Requirements:

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in battery systems, including system architecture, design principles, algorithm development, and validation.
• Deep knowledge of automotive electrical systems, communication protocols (e.g., CAN, TCP/IP, automotive Ethernet), and industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ASPICE).
• Proven leadership in systems engineering, ideally in automotive or related sectors.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
