, Job Description

Overview:

• Financial closing for standalone and group consolidation
• Preparation of monthly tax reports in cooperation with local tax advisors.
• Exchanging information with the local tax advisors, auditors, banks and lawyers.
• Accounts payables management.
• Liquidity planning and management.
• Inter-company invoicing
• Making wire transfers (for incoming invoices, salaries, taxes)
  
  

Responsibilities and duties:

• Conduct monthly financial closings for multiple entities, including Quandoo GmbH as the global headquarter of Quandoo Group, with detailed analytical review. Review bookkeeping done by an external accounting firm and provide necessary instructions.
• Ensure compliance with German GAAP and prepare the annual financial statements for filing
• Primary point-of-contact for auditor requests for the German entity
• Preparation of tax returns with the support of external tax experts. Primary point-of-contact for external tax experts and tax examination
• Reviewing the cost center mapping as part of the monthly closing procedure
• Liaising with other teams in the Finance department
• Cash management of Quandoo GmbH by forecasting the funding needs for the next months
• Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
  
  

, Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of accounting principles (assessed by accounting test)
• Bachelor’s degree and more than 3 years of experience in finance (e.g. Accounting, Financial Audit)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience of using Power Query and Power Pivot are highly appreciated
• Proficient in German and English (written and spoken),
• Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner (e.g. payroll)
