Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role will be in the finance department of Jefferies GmbH, where the candidate will contribute to the preparation of regulatory returns, daily and month end reporting tasks within the finance department of Jefferies GmbH. The role will span across the finance function and will be working closely with our finance teams in London to support on regulatory requirements, product control and corporate control related tasks to ensure high standards.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Preparation and review of notifications, periodic and ad-hoc regulatory reporting in compliance with requirements of Bundesbank and BaFin, and any other relevant authority. This requires cooperation with the regulatory reporting team in London and includes preparation of any supporting documentation.
  • Interaction with the supervisory authorities on specific topics.
  • Assist in coverage for wider controller teams covering various tasks like monitoring of costs, daily profit and loss, Inventory controls.
  • Assisting in the preparation of various management reporting packs.
  • Support in year end audits and ongoing internal audit activities.
  • Maintain the policies / business requirement documentations for all finance related processes and procedures for German legal entity.
  • Participation in projects and new business initiatives for German for finance related topics to ensure local requirements are being appropriately addressed.
  • Contribute to process improvements and driving re-engineering initiatives.

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Strong financial and analytical skills including good knowledge of HGB, US-GAAP and IFRS.
  • Profound financial products know how.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Self-motivated with ability to deal with multiple commitments / deadlines.
