Construction Manager - CCGT Power Plant

Apt Resources is currently seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager for a CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine) Power Plant project for one of our esteemed clients in the energy industry.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all construction activities of the power plant project, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and according to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects in the power generation industry.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all construction activities, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works
• Coordinating with the project team, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project
• Developing and implementing construction plans, schedules, and budgets
• Managing the procurement of materials and equipment
• Monitoring construction progress and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards
• Identifying and resolving construction issues and conflicts
• Managing contract variations and claims
• Preparing progress reports and presenting them to senior management
• Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and codes
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in power plant projects
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant local and international construction codes and standards
• Proficiency in project management software
• Flexibility to work on-site and travel as required
