About Alibaba in DACH:

We are disrupting the world of B2B Commerce by providing our state-of-the-art technology to SMEs, giving them the ability to digitalise harnessing the power of AI and becoming global exporters. The team is based in Munich and will focus on buyer growth and success in our marketplace. To Buyers we are a digital procurement solution and to Marchants we are an e-commerce enabler. You will be the link between large-scale buyers and merchants on our platform within multiple specialised categories.


Job Description


  • Build and nurture relationships: Cultivate strong connections with sellers, understanding their unique needs and goals.
  • Drive seller growth: Partner with sellers throughout their journey, from onboarding to maturity, ensuring their retention and success.
  • Become an Alibaba.com expert: Develop in-depth knowledge of the platform, providing technical training and expert guidance to sellers.
  • Unlock potential: Propose customized solutions and upsell relevant services, including advertising opportunities, to maximize seller growth.
  • Advocate for sellers: Be the voice of the customer, providing feedback to product teams for platform optimization and enhanced user experience.
  • Manage key accounts: Develop strategic partnerships with key sellers, tailoring support and driving their success on the platform.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field.
  • 1+ years of experience as an Account Manager in B2B or B2C environments
  • Interested in e-commerce trends and B2B products
  • Proven customer success experience within a digital platform is preferred
  • Experience managing and optimizing customer lifecycles.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a growth mentality and a willingness to learn
  • Native or bi-lingual German
  • Fluency in English
