𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐄𝐓 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐈 💡♻ Meeting regulatory and quality standards for producing recycled content has made the creation of high-purity PET fractions more important than ever. Recyclers have long relied on manual quality checks, a labor-intensive and costly process. Not anymore, with our AI-powered intelligence of AUTOSORT™ with GAINnext™. 🔍 Our deep learning-based system effortlessly identifies and sorts transparent PET, as well as those hard-to-classify objects like textiles, opaque white bottles, and multi-layered foils and sleeves. By integrating data from multiple sensors, it achieves unprecedented sorting accuracy. Key Benefits 👇 ➡ Achieve higher purity levels without manual sorting ➡ Run multiple streams on a single line ➡ Unlock new revenue opportunities by recycling opaque white bottles   There’s more to AI with GAINnext™. Last Friday, Austria’s most advanced plastics sorting plant TriPlast was inaugurated, shining in the vibrant colors of TOMRA’s orange machines. ♻ This facility is more than just visually impressive – its capabilities are also astounding. With its ability to sort 100,000 tons per annum, it accounts for 50% of Austria's lightweight packaging sorting capacity. This achievement is made possible by integrating the latest and most advanced sensor-based sorting technology, featuring 38 of our AUTOSORT™ units. TOMRA’s CEO Tove Andersen and Head of our Recycling division, Dr. Volker Rehrmann attended the grand opening in Enns together, celebrating this important milestone for Austria’s plastics recycling industry. We are proud to be part of this groundbreaking initiative. #WasteIntoValue #Recycling #Sustainability #ResourceRevolution

We were excited to participate in Henkel's internal Sustainability Day at their headquarters in Düsseldorf! 🌎   Our TOMRA team had the pleasure of demonstrating the capabilities of current sorting technologies and engaged in exciting discussions on how to enhance the recyclability of products and design packaging for optimal recycling. A special highlight was our near-infrared (NIR) analyzer, where Henkel employees had the chance to test the recyclability of Henkel products firsthand.   It’s always delightful to exchange with other leaders along the value chain about their sustainability practices and continuously learn from each other.   #Sustainability #Recycling #Innovation #ResourceRevolution

Is #NewWork just a buzzword? Not at TOMRA Recycling, and our new office building is proof of that 👇📽 When we first envisioned our new office building, we aimed to create a space that not only reflects the values of TOMRA—Innovation, Passion, and Responsibility—but also serves as a hub where these values can thrive on a daily basis. Drawing inspiration from the different workspaces of our global divisions, we focused on enhancing communication and collaboration, while bringing in our very own charm. At TOMRA, we believe in a workplace where everyone can freely interact and respect one another. Our interior design embraces an open-space concept, complemented by creatively designed meeting rooms that encourage teamwork and innovation. While remote work is part of our culture, our new office ensures that when we gather, our team feels at home and comfortable throughout the day. Just a few months since our move, we're already witnessing how this environment is enhancing our productivity and sense of community. Can you recognize the plastics that have been in contact with food? GAINnext™ can! 💡 Humans have the remarkable ability to understand and put into context what they see with their eyes. We might see a bottle with a certain logo and remember drinking from such a drink before, or spot an apple on a beverage and recognize it as a tasty juice. Take a pizza box, for example. You can identify its unique visual features—such as its shape and size—because you've seen it countless times, and the idea behind deep learning is not far off. But on sorting lines, there’s a twist: when an item like a pizza box is in a waste stream, it no longer looks brand new. This is where GAINnext™ excels. Our AI technology is incredibly efficient, with purity levels of over 95% and is particularly powerful in identifying hard-to-classify objects. That's because TOMRA’s deep learning innovation has been trained by our in-house engineers with millions of labeled images and compares them with the scanned objects. Combined with our traditional sensors, the efficiency and speed on the sorting line are outstanding. This innovation solves a long-standing industry challenge, because GAINnext™ makes it possible for the first time to sort food-grade plastics on a large scale without relying on manual labor.
