Wir arbeiten kontinuierlich an unserer Außenpräsenz, um die Siltronic bekannter zu machen. Hochschulkooperationen sind uns dabei sehr wichtig, stellen diese doch einen Teil unserer zukünftigen Kolleginnen und Kollegen! Das anwendungstechnische Labor (AT-Labor), das auch die elektrische Charakterisierung unserer Wafer durchführt, arbeitet bereits seit geraumer Zeit mit dem Zentrallabor für Elektronik und Informationstechnik (ZEIT lab) zusammen. Seit neustem sind auch Siltronic Wafer und Konusspitzen an der Technical University of Munich in einer Vitrine ausgestellt.

A historic milestone for Siltronic! Today, after more than 500 days of construction and roughly 22.5 million working hours, we inaugurated our new state-of-the-art fab in #Singapore – one of the most modern and cost-efficient wafer fabs in the world. The grand opening ceremony was held in the presence of around 150 guests. Among the many customers, suppliers and high-ranking Singapore government representatives attending the event was our Guest of Honor, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat.   Our fab in Singapore will set new standards in our industry and strengthen our position as one of the world's leading wafer manufacturers. Welcome Klaus Buchwald as Siltronic's new Chief Operating Officer 🎉 We are excited to announce that Klaus Buchwald has joined Siltronic as our new Chief Operating Officer on June 1. Klaus will be responsible for Operations and Supply Chain, Engineering, and IT. Klaus brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, including more than 21 years at Infineon Technologies, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President Operations of the "Green Industrial Power" division and as Executive Vice President Corporate Supply Chain. Today we released our Q1 2024 results. Siltronic achieved sales of EUR 343.5 million – a decrease of 3.7 percent compared to the previous quarter mainly driven by a shift in product mix. Our EBITDA margin slightly improved from 25.5 percent in the previous quarter to 26.4 percent. Faced with ongoing weak demand due to high customer inventories, we have adjusted our 2024 sales forecast to roughly 10 percent below last year. This year will be a transitional and necessary step towards a significant increase in demand in the medium and long term. Siltronic's growth-driving megatrends such as Generative Artificial Intelligence remain intact, and we look forward to welcoming Klaus Buchwald as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO) on June 1, 2024 – two months earlier than originally announced. Last week, our CEO Dr. Michael Heckmeier visited the Kurfürst Maximilian Gymnasium (KuMax) as part of the Handelsblatt "ChefIn zu gewinnen" initiative.   Nearly 40 eleventh grade students welcomed us to their school to learn about Siltronic, our career opportunities and Mr. Heckmeier's personal and professional journey. The event began with a short presentation, followed by an open and engaging Q&A session.   At the end, there was time for an exchange of gifts and a celebratory group picture.   A warm thank you to the Handelsblatt, the KuMax staff, and most importantly to our future – the students!
