Meet our Industrial Design Team. At Razor Group, we have an incredibly talented Industrial Design Team working to develop new products and improve our existing portfolio of brands. Below Samuel Bodner our Industrial Design Lead gives us a few insights into what being an Industrial Designer at Razor Group is like. Why is it special to be an Industrial Designer at Razor Group? "The special thing about being an Industrial Designer at Razor Group is definitely the huge variety of products we are able to work on. This makes our job very diverse & challenging: such a variety of different products require huge knowledge in terms of production processes & methods. It's not just about designing a nice looking product, it's just as important how to produce it effectively later on. Besides that, a good user experience is always the key essence of a good product, especially when a user is going to be in physical contact with it on a daily basis. Every project is thereby different and brings its own challenges." What does your work day look like? “As our projects, no day is the same for us. Each designer usually works on their own project. Depending on the current state of development, we are analysing existing products & production methods, come up with new designs through sketching or finalising our designs through 3D-modeling, before going into communication with our suppliers concerning the production of our designs." A tool used by our Industrial Design Team on a 'day-to-day' basis is their 3D printer. The printer allows them to asses their ideas & products right here in the office. Thereby, helping them save time and iteration cycle with their suppliers in order to get the products market ready.
