What an EVÄNT! This year's Start-up BW Summit took place in Stuttgart, the heart of THE LÄND 💛 And what can we say? It was a blast! 🎤 First: An engaging opening by Baden-Württemberg's Minister President Winfried Kretschmann and Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut. Both emphasized the value of founders and the startup ecosystem for our economy: Baden-Württemberg is a hotspot for innovation, a place where ambitious people dare to go the extra mile! 🚀 Then: More inspiring panel discussions and keynotes, where entrepreneurs and experts shared their experiences and discussed current topics. However, our highlight was the huge exhibition with more than 100 startups presenting their innovations. We are especially proud, that one could find so many startups of the #4CCommunity: Treyetech, EndoSurge, Powered Orthotics, EVERSION Technologies, Fysor GmbH, sync2brain GmbH, ACTIMI, eatappie, and coreway. Also showcasing, the ecosystem with all its various startup supporters – including us. Thanks to everyone who passed by our booth. Henrike and Lea enjoyed meeting you! 🍻 And finally: Grateful for this vibrant community, we raised our glasses and ended the day with sunshine and good company! Many thanks to the entire Start-up BW team for organizing and hosting the summit!

#FemaleCommunity – How could #DigitalDetix help me become a better leader? At our last #FemaleFounders meeting with Miriam Moser, expert on digital transformation, we discussed the topic of #DigitalStress and how to avoid it. In her impulse talk, Miriam highlighted how taking a break from digital devices can enhance ... 💙... our health, especially in the long term, by reducing stress. 💡 ... our creativity and productivity by giving us a break. 🚀 ... our ability to lead, as stress is transferred to the team. Together we discussed strategies that are easy to implement in our daily lives: ✅ Having two phones or numbers to distinguish between business and personal communication. ✅ Turn off push notifications, such as your email inbox, on your phone. ✅ Use handwritten notes and excludes laptops and phones from meetings when possible. ✅ Plan your vacations well or – if there’s no way around – consciously schedule times to answer urgent emails. What are your strategies for avoiding digital stress?

251 input slides, 12.5 hours, 3 teams together with 3 MII lecturers and 1 #4CConnected business model canvas – this was the first episode of our new format #4CBootcamp! Last week we hosted and lectured our new 1.5-day intensive workshop format for #MedTech startups. 🎯 Its goal? To equip founders with the right tools to develop a business model in the highly regulated healthcare industry. To do this, we looked at the challenges and opportunities presented by the #4Cs – Commercialization, Certification, Clinical Studies and Copyright – and demonstrated how they can be smartly connected. Because at the end of the day, only a #4CConnected business model will enable founders to enter the market quickly and will ensure sustainable success. 👩🏫 The lectures? Our own team, of course! With Dr. Henrike Stutzki, Dr. Ramona Samba and Ingo Hämmerle, we have not only experienced startup coaches and consultants on board, but also a Head of Clinical Affairs, CEOs and co-founders of startups. Their wealth of practical experience and knowledge, which is constantly growing in these roles, also enriches their activities at the MII. As one participant noted: "It's refreshing that the lecturers are working in startups themselves, so they understand startups." 🚀 The participants? Three startups from THE LÄND participated in this first 4C Bootcamp. With Sascha Weimar and Marius Gerdes from Metis Neurotec, Marian Lambert and Holger Friedrich from #Negami and Jens Seeman from #AnchorGait we got to work with three very different but exciting and innovative projects! It was a pleasure to welcome you in Tübingen. Thank you for your trust and your great participation! -- This workshop was funded by Start-up BW of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Baden-Württemberg, the B. Braun Stiftung - der Gesundheit neue Wege bereiten Stiftung, and the Hector-stiftung.

Are you still wondering why you should take part in the #4CAccelerator? Would you also like to check those boxes? Then apply by July 19, 2024, and get selected for batch #8 of the 4C Accelerator! 👉 https://lnkd.in/eiENYKDS Do you have any questions about the program or the application process? Each step in the product lifecycle of a #MedicalDevice or #IVD has specific hurdles: From market analysis to clinical evaluation to post-market surveillance. For this reason, Dr. Kathleen Nieschke, Product Manager at Gesundheitsforen, visited the #4CAccelerator and shared some of her expert insights on how to master these steps. We asked Kathleen … ❔ What are the benefits of existing data, e.g. registries, for evaluating the safety and performance of a product, but also for its commercialization? “Existing data offers great advantages, such as the ability to examine aspects of efficacy and safety from different perspectives (patient, doctor, caregiver, etc.) thanks to the possibility of data linkage. Additionally, it reduces the effort involved in collecting new data. As a result, access to health care can be considerably accelerated with existing data.” ❔ How does the team at #Gesundheitsforen support #MedTech startups in that regard? “With our experience and extensive network, we support startups in the search for or development of a suitable database, as well as its use in market analyses, clinical studies or post-market surveillance. In addition, we help to plan market access and, if required, actively accompany the startup in the process.” 📌 Advertisement
