Diversity, Equity and Inclusion week. LGBS Mexico successfully concluded the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Week. This year, we celebrated our diversity in how we think and feel by integrating activities such as a Neurodiversity workshop. 🧠 We also hosted "Coffee Time with Leaders - Diversity Edition"☕ where people from different teams engaged in casual discussions with members of the Management Board about the importance of diversity. Colleagues enthusiastically joined the Pride Parade in Mexico City for the second time and had a fantastic experience. 🌈🥳 Additionally, the agenda featured insightful online talks that helped colleagues familiarize themselves with LGBTQ+ concepts. We explored the latest trends in LGBTQ+ community -perceptions of workplace inclusion and the current challenges they face. Last but not least, we had the collaboration with other DEI community from Lufthansa Group, Diversifly North America, to have an overview of the main responsibilities of Diversifly and many colleagues expressed interest in further engaging with the community. 🙌🏼 Although the official agenda has concluded, we remain committed to promoting DEI initiatives every day!

Senior Director of International Business Services at LGBS, Aline Huehnergarth visited the New York office for the first time in her new role, engaging in a series of productive meetings with various teams including HR, Finance, Procurement, Compliance, Legal, and very importantly Key Business Partners. During her visit, Aline held discussions with the leadership team, providing valuable insights into the company's international business strategy and also communicated important changes within the organization. A highlight of the visit was the Townhall meeting, where all employees had the opportunity to engage in an open Q&A session directly and with Slido. A key message here was that we want to be a value creating unit first and foremost. Now that we know each other even better, we look forward to working closely with each other across borders and oceans – because that is WHAT WE at International Business Services DO. 🙌  

In May we had a great back-to-back leadership training with our learning partners, KLA and Mercer. The KLA workshop focused on managing meetings to introduce the topic of “Performance Dialogues" to LGBS MNL leaders. The Mercer workshop was the third of a series and served as the concluding segment of the Employee Experience (EX) topics. Once again, our Krakow center gathered for the Summer Party 🎈 In our hybrid work model , it’s important to meet face-to-face and spend time together. This year, we had “summer” vibe themed fun, which included playing mini golf, relaxing among flamingos and palms, trying colorful body painting, supporting teams during the opening match of Euro 2024, and of course, dancing on the dancefloor till the early morning. . On June 12-13, we hosted our second Masterclass of the year in FRA, uniting over 15 LGBS employees from around the globe. The big question was: "What does Future Readiness mean for us?" 🚀  We kicked off with an inspiring keynote-speech, sparking future-ready thinking. Participants then dove into two key challenges: Redesigning the Employee Experience in a hybrid work setting to boost engagement and productivity.  Creating a framework to foster innovation and continuous improvement within LGBS.  With a Design Thinking approach and guidance from three coaches, they developed innovative prototypes and gained valuable insights into our future collaboration. Vielfalt played a crucial role in our discussions, enriching our perspectives and solutions. 🤝🌐  Next up, a Masterclass on Operational Excellence at a new global location. Stay tuned! 🌟💡 

🔒 Our legal compliance and data protection team of experts recently led a 3-day Compliance Workshop in Manila focusing on corporate compliance, human rights, and data protection. On June 4, 2024, we celebrated a special event: our first "Welcome Back" event for parents returning from leave. 🎉 The day began with a warm welcome, where participants introduced themselves and shared their rejoining experiences at LGBS. This set the perfect tone for the hours ahead! A highlight was a fun icebreaker game, revealing surprising facts about the colleagues. We shared insights into the new LGBS strategy, what Vielfalt means to Lufthansa Group and updates from their time away, plus upcoming events. ✨ The event concluded with a relaxed lunch, allowing for continued conversations and new connections. Dear returnees, we’re thrilled to have you back and wish you a smooth reintegration – welcome back! 🌟👋

We're thrilled to share that our team of 9 colleagues made it to the quarterfinals in the Euro 2024 intercompany tournament! ⚽ Although we ultimately lost to the team that went on to win the entire tournament, we couldn't be prouder of our performance and teamwork. 💪🏻 The event took place just outside Munich on June 8th, featuring 32 teams from seven countries, including our team from Poland. Competing in such a diverse and talented field was an incredible experience and a true testament to the spirit of international collaboration and sportsmanship🙌🏻 Congratulations to all the participating teams, and a special shout-out to the champions. 🏆 #LGBSKRK #EURO2024
