The month of July plays an important role in the life of samir bouaskar, Plant Manager at LEONI TUNISIA. The month not only marks some of the most beautiful and important personal milestones in Samir's life, but also his career start at LEONI in 1992 – and since then a wonderful series of events has taken him to where he is today, proudly serving as plant manager. Throughout 32 years of service, LEONI has been a place of belonging, safety, and support to him, even during times of pressure and uncertainty. Driven by Sustainovation - LEONI Press TechDay 2024 Today we host the Press TechDay "Driven by Sustainovation" at our site in Roth. “For LEONI, sustainability is not just a moral obligation. It is one of the key drivers of innovation and progress," said Markus Thoma, CEO LEONI ACS Division. Walter Glück, CTO LEONI WSD Division, emphasized: "We don't wait, we act. The technological challenge of contributing to a better world with new ideas and innovations is exciting. Our aim is to make an active contribution to the green mobility of tomorrow." At the Press TechDay, experts from our two divisions ACS & WSD impressively demonstrated that at LEONI these words are followed by deeds, for example, with the world premiere of LIMEVERSE. The vehicle cables in LEONI’s new green product line are 100 percent recyclable and radically reduce the CO2 footprint. At LEONI, we accelerate the pace on the road to green cables and wiring systems and will reduce the carbon footprint of our products by half by 2030 – with 2023 as the base year. From the development of the individual vehicle cable to the choice of recyclable materials to the finished wiring system: as LEONI, we think sustainability holistically. We call this approach “Driven by Sustainovation”. #LEONI Career Day: 👩🎓👨🎓 welcoming future talents in Kitzingen! We were delighted by the many visitors who attended the #CareerDay at our Kitzingen headquarters last Friday. Around 100 pupils, parents, and prospective students explored our training, dual study, and student job opportunities. From engaging with our trainers and gaining first-hand insights from current apprentices in industrial administration, engineering, and electronics, visitors experienced a bit of what it’s like to work at #LEONI . For many, it was a highly appreciated opportunity to explore our modern head office and technical facilities that normally are not open to the public 🏢. Guided tours of key areas, such as prototyping, our Innovation Industrialization Center #iic, and the laboratories provided a behind-the-scenes look. Practical activities like wire circling and programming also drew significant interest🛠️. A big thank you to our internal organization team for their fantastic work, and to all the visitors who joined us! Strengthening ties between academia and industry🔄! Last week, we welcomed 60 THWS students from AI, Robotics, and Informatics programs to our “Company Speed Dating” in Kitzingen. Organized by TTZ-KT, the event connected students with companies like #LEONI, Rothe and Pfeuffer, offering technical insights, career opportunities and networking🌐. What is “TTZ-KT”? This initiative aims to found and establish a technology transfer center in Kitzingen as part of the Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS). Celebrating ⚽𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐫 and 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭⚽ at LEONI! Our recent #LEONI Soccer Tournament 2024 was a day filled with goals, team spirit, and a fantastic atmosphere. Held in Wiesenbronn, the event brought together around 500 visitors, including 13 teams from our #LEONI locations across Germany. Parallel to the European Soccer Cup, we had LEONI's finest on the field🙌. Delicious food, family-friendly activities and personalized shirts for all players added to the fun. Remarkably, the final winning team had formed on the soccer ground that very day! Consisting of colleagues from different locations who spontaneously joined forces, they perfectly embodied our belief that "Together we can achieve anything."🥇 A big thank you to all players, visitors, and especially to our dedicated organization team. #LEONI #soccertournament2024 #teamspirit

During the economic crisis of 2008/2009, LEONI faced challenges like many automotive companies. But when Everardo Avila, Managing Director at Leoni México, looks back on this time today, he doesn't just think about the negative effects. What got him and his team through was their sense of belonging and their culture of standing together. For instance, when cost cuts became inevitable, everybody agreed to reduce their working hours to avoid any colleague being laid off. Everardo and his team have maintained this mindset of seeing challenges as chances to this day, and he is very proud of that.
