This could comprise, among others, project evaluations, conceptual studies, e.g. on increasing gender impact in development projects, or feasibility studies to prepare new projects. During your internship, you will be closely integrated into the project teams and gain insights into typical project structures in international development cooperation. You can expect a small, friendly, young and dynamic team, flat hierarchies, flexible working hours and the opportunity to participate in internal trainings. We're happy to introduce Claudia Hackl, our new consultant! Claudia is a young professional with a passion for global cooperation and project management. She holds a Franco-German master’s degree in International Cultural and Business Studies from Universität Passau and Aix-Marseille University. Claudia is fascinated by intercultural dynamics and thrives in diverse settings, where she values teamwork towards shared objectives. With experience interning at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH in Eschborn and Tunisia, she's adept in portfolio and project management for development projects, specializing in the North African country context. She also gained experience working at different publishing companies, including a six-month internship with Scientific Publishing Services Pvt Ltd in India. Spending time in nature is one of her favorite things to do whether cycling, swimming, or hiking in the beautiful landscape of the Alps next to her hometown Munich. She loves starting the day with a Yoga session, followed by a good cup of coffee. In Claudia’s own words: “I'm thrilled about joining the joyn-coop team in its endeavors to create positive and lasting change. I'm eager to apply my skills to meaningful projects and excited about the dynamic atmosphere that encourages growth, learning, and a joyful way of working together.”

We're happy to introduce our new interns Jennifer Wilhelm and Tobias Klöpf! Jennifer holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Universität Mannheim and is currently taking a gap year to gain further work experience before starting her Masters at Università Bocconi in Milan. She brings a depth of knowledge and commitment to the team, as well as a strong methodological background. Before joining joyn-coop, Jennifer gained practical insights at the Bavarian state parliament, the headquarters of the Federal Foreign Office and International IDEA. Jennifer loves to do sports, especially football, and is currently busy learning new languages. In Jennifer’s words: “I am thrilled to embark on this journey with the dynamic and passionate team at joyn-coop. Their dedication to making a difference in the realm of development cooperation is truly inspiring, and I cannot wait to work on impactful projects together.” Tobias holds a Bachelor’s degree in Governance and Public Policy from Universität Passau where he is currently finishing his Master’s in Development Studies. His interdisciplinary background includes knowledge in political science, (development) economics, and research methods. Before joining our company, Tobias conducted field research in Ghana for his master’s thesis, focusing on vulnerability and migration in the context of coastal flooding. He also gained practical experience during an internship at KfW Development Bank in Frankfurt. In his leisure time, Tobias enjoys football, photography and chess. About his start: "I am thankful for the opportunity to learn from all the passionate and experienced consultants in the team. I am excited to contribute to the work of joyn-coop." The projects which will be evaluated by joyn-coop are in one of the following areas: #Migration, #Immigration Society, #Peace, #Inequality, #Democracy and #ClimateChange, in Germany and worldwide. Thereby we will look at the projects and the individual project partners within each area, but also assess their effectiveness and impact on a global scale. During your internship, you will be closely integrated into the project teams and gain insights into typical project structures in international development cooperation. We're happy to introduce Andres Luna Ortiz our new consultant! Andrés is an experienced consultant specializing in #corporatesustainability and #climatechange. He dreams of a future where #climate resilience becomes a reality for everyone leading to harmonious coexistence between people and their environment. Prior to joining joyn coop, Andrés worked as a sustainability consultant, supporting companies in assessing and monitoring their environmental impact. He developed action plans to mitigate and reduce these impacts and has engaged in research projects aimed at mitigating the environmental impact of manufacturing practices and waste management. Andrés is passionate about sports and likes to try new ones; his new hobby is running since one month. He also likes to play beach volleyball in the summer. Speaking of summer, he loves the sun and after 6 years still struggles with the long German winter. In Andrés’s own words, “I am truly excited to be part of the joyn-coop family. We're delighted to introduce Francy Köllner, our new consultant! Francy brings a wealth of expertise and passion to our team, particularly in areas such as migration and refugees, youth employment in Central America, post-colonial approaches, and gender and diversity matters. In the past, Francy has spearheaded project acquisition and implementation for organizations like GIZ, KfW, and EU clients and has experience with feasibility studies, project evaluations and organizational development. In her free time, Francy enjoys swimming and playing volleyball. In Francy's own words: "Through my journey in development cooperation, I developed a deep commitment towards social justice, drawing inspiration from Arturo Escobar's theories. Prior to joining us, Marvin has been expanding his horizons through various academic and professional experiences. His academic journey includes a semester abroad at Peking University in China, where he delved into the intricacies of development economics in collaboration with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Additionally, his internship at a Munich-based strategy consultancy has honed his skills and provided valuable professional insights.
