Opportunity card 🚀 Can my wife/ husband/ kids/ parents relocate with me? 1) Your wife/ husband can join you if she or he has the Opportunity Card as well. Your second half cannot travel with you as a dependant because this document doesn't give you such rights. 2) Your children can join you if both you and your wife have the Opportunity Card and you relocate together. 3) Your parents cannot join you because you cannot have any dependent people with you. They can relocate once you get a job and change your status to the Blue Card.

Is #German needed? 🇩🇪 Do I have to speak German to apply for the Opportunity Card? The answer is NO 🔥 The main principle of the Points System is to get 6 points. If you meet this requirement even without selecting "German", you are ready to proceed! Remember❗Focus on getting a job, not only on the opportunity card. You need to speak English fluently for that. Otherwise, the German language is mandatory.

Opportunity card: My country is not mentioned in the given list/ no appointments available. Almost everyone has already completed the self-assessment using the given Points System. But what do I do next? You need to make an appointment! There are two scenarios possible: 1) "My country is not on the list". Countries such as Pakistan are still not available on the list. You need to open the German Missions in Pakistan page and send them an email directly asking for a free slot and attaching all the documents. 2) "My country is on the list but no appointments are possible". India has been added but no slot is available. The procedure is the same. You go to, for instance, the German Embassy New Delhi page and email them. We will provide more info on this as soon as possible.

What is your salary expectation? How do you get ready for this question? 1. Do your research. Check salaries in cities you apply for and the costs of living there. 2. Do not put/say an exact number, always give a range. For example: 70,000-75,000 EUR. 3. Be realistic about your experience and salary comparisons.
