    🗣 [Meet our Speaker #9] One day left before our next d\carb future economy forum and it's still time to announce speakers and register 📢 🎉 Lisa Mangertseder will be our speaker in panel 3: “Carbon Removal Technologies: Race to Zero and Net Negative” (3.15pm - 5.00pm) 🍀 🖼 Lisa works as a Venture Associate at Carbon Removal Partners, a leading Venture Capital fund in the Carbon Removal industry. As one of the foremost investors globally, the fund focuses on durable carbon removal technologies. Additionally, Lisa serves as Vice-Chair of DVNE, Germany's national Carbon Removal association, and co-leads Women in Carbon in Switzerland. She holds an M.Sc. in Management & Innovation from TU Munich, with her Master's Thesis at ETH Zurich about investing in Carbon Removal Technologies.     🗣 [Meet our Speaker #11] Still one day to register for our next in-person event and here comes another speaker! 👏 📢 We are pleased to have Marian Krueger in our panel 3 “Carbon Removal Technologies: Race to Zero and Net Negative” (3.15pm - 5.00pm) for our event on June 18th🎉 🖼 Marian is Co-Founder and Managing Director of remove, a non-profit organization focused on supporting early-stage carbon removal startups and fostering CDR ecosystems in Europe and India. A behavioural economist by training, Marian previously headed the Sustainability in Business Lab at ETH Zurich, advised industrial companies and public institutions on decarbonization and founded a successful start-up in the solar-PV space. Based in London, she leads Carbon Gap’s UK work programme and strategic projects to advance carbon removal across the whole of Europe. Devina has experience in climate and scientific policymaking having worked in the UK government’s carbon capture and storage programme and Covid-19 Vaccine Task Force.     🗣 [Meet our Speaker #8] Excited to have Sony Kapoor as Keynote speaker for our in-person event on June 18th - Breaking Through in Green Innovation: How Do We Get There? 🎉 📢 Professor Kapoor is an influential macroeconomist, investment expert, sustainability adviser, technology evangelist and development enthusiast with a long track record of successfully tackling important public policy, business, investment and societal challenges. His portfolio career spans investment banking, asset management, economic policymaking, strategy consulting, geopolitical advisory, technology startups, interdisciplinary research, board roles, investment committees, and expert advisory roles for dozens of governments.  Currently, Sony is Professor of Climate, Geoeconomics, and Finance at the European University Institute, CEO of NIFTYS, Chair of Re-Define, and a Trustee of Friends of Europe. He is also an adviser to several MNCs, SWFs, the EU, the G-20, and multilaterals including the UN on macroeconomic policy, long-term investing, geopolitics, AI and sustainability.  His successes in tackling the Euro crisis, promoting financial reform, accelerating climate action, and scaling up development finance have led to being recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, election as Fellow by the RSA, and the award of a Presidential Fellowship by George Soros for being an accomplished Policy Entrepreneur.     🗣 [Meet our Speaker #7] We are pleased to introduce Volker Thome, head of department „Inorganic Materials and Recycling” at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP, as a speaker for the second panel “Decarbonising Cement: the Biggest Challenges and Answers” (1.00pm - 2.45pm) of our next event on June 18th (next Tuesday!!) 🎉 📚 Volker won two awards, the “Land of ideas” for the proof that waste concrete can be recycled efficiently as well as the DGNB e.V. award for sorting and reuse of construction and demolition fine fractions. His Ph.D. in mineralogy he obtained from the University of Heidelberg and had a postdoc position at the University of Cambridge. Previously, he was working as a Senior Program Manager at the BMZ as well as Campaign Manager for the elections to the European Parliament and Team Leader for the World Bank Group. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Göttingen University.
