Embracing Collaboration and Innovation: Data4Life joins HPI d–schools Design Thinking Program. At #Data4Life, we are thrilled to be part of the HPI d-School’s Design Thinking program for the second time. The passion and creativity that the different teams bring to the table are truly inspiring, and we are excited to see how these collaborative efforts lead to innovative solutions - also for our digital health software products. 🚀💡 Our Role in the Project: As part of our collaboration with Hasso Plattner Institute and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, our contribution aims to make our successful SensorHub project even more robust for the upcoming studies. The program involves two teams of five students each, working in #Potsdam and #Berlin. Together with Lin Zhou, Justin Albert, the inspiring Bert Arnrich from the Digital Health Cluster, Charlotte Dreyer and Dr. Claudia Nicolai from HPI d-school, and Alexander H. Nave from Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, we are partnering with the Basic Track students at the D-School in Potsdam at HPI. 🤝🎓 Together with our project partners, we have created a challenge for the students to tackle: They are working on iterative solutions, conducting qualitative interviews, running tests, collaborating with data scientists, and engaging in practical interviews with patients and healthcare professionals. Through their insights and experiences, they are building proposals based on the Design Thinking concept, which aim to deliver valuable findings back into #SensorHub. 🔄📊 The Benefits of #DesignThinking: 1. Fostering Creativity: Design Thinking encourages out-of-the-box thinking, allowing teams to explore and develop solutions that might not have been considered otherwise. 🎨🧠 2. User-Centric Approach: By focusing on the needs and experiences of users, Design Thinking ensures that solutions are practical, relevant, and effective. 👥✅ 3. Iterative Problem-Solving: This method emphasizes prototyping and testing, enabling continuous improvement and refinement of ideas. 🔄🔍 Celebrating Midway Milestone! Now at the halfway mark, the interim presentations have already heightened our excitement. We eagerly anticipate the final results in July and are confident that the students' hard work and dedication will yield valuable insights and innovative solutions. We believe that this collaboration not only provides students with a fantastic opportunity to see their results implemented in real-world scenarios but also significantly contributes to the future success and sustainability of our Sensor Hub project. 🏅🌟 Stay tuned for more updates as we move towards the final presentations! 📅✨ You want to learn more about our sensor data collection platform from the project? - was hilft wann? 📢 Exciting News from Data4Life! In the FeMFit study, Data4Life combined digital questionnaires with wearable data to gain insights into the menstrual cycle. We are thrilled to announce the publication of our latest research paper in #JMIR, exploring innovative methods to deepen our understanding of the menstrual cycle and its impact on women's health. 🩺✨ 🔬 Study Overview: Despite its significance, the menstrual cycle remains under-researched, especially concerning its regulation and effects on daily life. Our study leverages the power of digital health, combining wearable devices and digital questionnaires to gather comprehensive data over 12 weeks. 📈 Key Findings: - Participation & Engagement: 42 cisgender women in Berlin used Fitbit Inspire 2 devices and the Data4Life-study app, resulting in the collection of data from 114 ovulatory cycles. - Biological Insights: Increased heart rate was observed in the mid and end luteal phase compared to menses. Participants with severe premenstrual syndrome (PMS) walked fewer steps during these phases. - Feasibility: The combined use of wearables and questionnaires proved technically feasible, though engagement efforts need enhancement for future studies. 🌟 Why It Matters: This research marks a significant step toward more personalized and precise healthcare. By integrating wearable technology and digital data collection, we can gain richer insights into the menstrual cycle, paving the way for better reproductive health management. 🔗 Find the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/eN7Qs62U At Data4Life, we're committed to advancing digital health solutions that empower individuals and improve public health and make real world data available. 🌇 Flying Health Summer Event 🌇 High above the rooftops of Berlin, we had an amazing time at the Flying Health Summer Event. A big thank you for the invitation to this dynamic digital health care gathering. We were particularly inspired by Bart De Witte’s talk on the need for an open source movement in #healthcare. He highlighted that the innovation power of #opensource communities is incredibly high and that open source allows everyone to benefit equally from innovation. This perfectly aligns with our commitment to building digital solutions that make the world a healthier place and with our current efforts to make our data integration and analysis platform, Data2Evidence, open source. We're launching soon, based on a globally standardized data model. 📢 Who in the #research community works with data in the #OMOP standard and is interested in a demo instance? 🔜 Get in touch with us. We were delighted to welcome our partners and ecosystem members at our Flying Health Summer Event in Berlin. After providing an overview of the most significant developments in healthcare over the past year, our principals Karen Piontek and Alexander Whyte had the pleasure to introduce our newest ecosystem partners: Allianz Kommunaler Großkrankenhäuser e.V. (AKG), ATOSS Software SE, Edwards Lifesciences Europe, Chugai Pharma Europe, L21s, Merz Therapeutics, and Prosoma. We then looked into the future with a demonstration of Flying Health’s AI Prototype “Hunter” displaying the potential to elevate human-made consultation services to new heights – and setting the perfect stage for the next highlight: Bart De Witte’s keynote on the transformative potential of AI in healthcare. Following that, we were delighted to offer our guests a delicious buffet provided by ALICE Rooftop & Garden Eventlocation in Berlin to kick off an evening full of networking opportunities and inspiring discussions. The selected snapshots of our photographer Christoph Wehrer give first impressions of the evening A big thank you to all participants, speakers, and our Flying Health team for filling this evening with new impulses, ideas, and discussions. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

Celebrating Pride Month at Data4Life! 🌈 ❤️💛💚💙💜 We celebrate diversity with a joint awareness webinar, accompanied by snacks&drinks. At Data4Life, we proudly celebrate Pride Month as it resonates deeply with our organizational culture. Our diverse team is a true testament to our love for diversity and inclusion. 💡Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots of June 1969, a pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ history when the community stood up against discrimination and police brutality in New York City. #IOPSummit #KIG #Interoperabilität #DigitaleGesundheit #Data4Life #Gesundheitsinnovation #gematik #Gesundheitsforschung Dr Anke Diehl Martin Sedlmayr Alexa Straus, MPH Prof. Sylvia Thun Josephine Weiß Bettine Gola
