Exciting news from our latest project! On June 12th, our ultra-large diameter slurry balance shield machine, "Pingshan East-4" , successfully rolled off the assembly line. This advanced equipment will be utilized in the construction of the Pingshan East Tunnel segment of the new Shenshan Railway SSSG-4 section. With a cutting diameter of 14.31 meters, the shield machine features an atmospheric pressure cutterhead design, measures approximately 122 meters in length, and weighs over 3,000 tons. The SSSG-4 section of the Pingshan East Tunnel spans 5,153.4 meters with a maximum depth of 71.4 meters. It is a single-tube, double-track tunnel designed for speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour. The Luzhi shield section traverses strata primarily composed of slightly weathered granite and conglomerate, with local granite rock compressive strengths reaching up to 97.2 MPa. #TunnelBoringMachine #TBM #Infrastructure #Construction #EngineeringExcellence #CREG

The CREG1294, the extra large EPB TBM (13.65m Excavation diameter), has successfully passed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on the 22nd of December.  This CREG TBM is set to be deployed in the construction of the Sarıyer-Kilyos motorway tunnel in Istanbul, Turkey. The machine is designed to operate at a maximum depth of 172 meters and navigate a minimum horizontal curve radius of 190 meters.
