We are very proud to announce that M. Angela Sasse from University College London & Ruhr University Bochum is our guest for the next edition of our “Distinguished Lecture Series”. M. Angela Sasse will give a talk on "Security Awareness – old news from the corporate frontlines and trenches", on Tuesday, 16th of July, at 11am. Her talk will highlight recent studies showing that despite changes in rhetoric, security remains burdensome and complex. Employees are often blamed for failures in impossible tasks. Instead of simplifying security through better technology, corporations invest heavily in security awareness and training products, which are rarely evaluated beyond basic metrics. Evidence shows these products do not improve security behaviour and can cause collateral damage. A new approach to influencing secure employee behaviour will finally be outlined. Join live at CISPA! What a great day! The "SR Ferien Open Air" Festival is always a great experience. We are thrilled to have been part of this event. Thousands of students partied hard at the Dillinger-Park Stadium. We hope that the next six weeks will be just as fun. We wish all students a wonderful summer vacation! ------------------------------------ Was für ein großartiger Tag! Das SR Ferien Open Air Festival war wieder ein Erlebnis. Wir sind begeistert, Teil dieses Events gewesen zu sein. Tausende Schülerinnen und Schüler haben im Dillinger-Parkstadion richtig reingefeiert. Hoffentlich werden auch die nächsten Wochen ein Fest. Wir wünschen allen Schülerinnen und Schülern wunderschöne Sommerferien!

Kickerturniere haben am CISPA Tradition! Zum Launch unserer neuen Publikation „CISPA Display“ hat die Unternehmenskommunikation gestern alle Kolleg:innen zu einer „Bring your own bottle“-Party eingeladen. Beim Kickern konnte man entweder sein Können unter Beweis stellen oder ein Poster selbst mit dem CISPA-Logo bedrucken, ganz nach dem Do-it-yourself-Prinzip. Vielen Dank an alle, die da waren und diesen Feierabend so besonders gemacht haben. - - - - - Foosball Tournaments are a big part of our CISPA traditions! To mark the launch of our new publication "CISPA Display", Corporate Communications invited all colleagues to a "bring your own bottle" party yesterday. You could prove your mettle playing foosball or else print your own poster with the CISPA logo, following the do-it-yourself principle. Many thanks to everyone who joined in, making this after-work event so special.

🙋♀️ For CISPA-Faculty Katharina Krombholz, thinking outside the box is a matter of course. She focuses on Usable Security and puts people at the center of her research in order to develop security solutions that are not only good in theory, but also feasible in practice. 🌏 To understand the requirements of people with different socio-cultural backgrounds, Katharina likes to travel. She is often accompanied by her doctoral students, for example when she travels to Pakistan, where she is working on the EU-funded project Recypher – Rethinking Cybersecurity in Pakistan. 👏 Das von CISPA koordinierte Exzellenznetzwerk ELSA - European Lighthouse on Secure and Safe AI hat im vergangenen Jahr mit seinem ersten Industry Call Startups sowie kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen aufgerufen, gemeinsam mit ELSA an der Entwicklung sicherer und vertrauenswürdiger KI-Anwendungen zu arbeiten. Nach der Sichtung von mehr als 200 ambitionierten Bewerbungen hat eine Jury aus internen und externen Expert:innen nun fünf Unternehmen ausgewählt. Die Gewinner sind Algomo, Oasys Now, OttCT, QuantPi und Sarus. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! After reviewing more than 200 ambitious applications, a jury composed of internal and external experts has now selected five companies. The winners are: Algomo Oasys Now, OttCT, QuantPi und Sarus. Congratulations! Each of these five winners will receive 60,000 Euros of EU funding and work together with ELSA researchers on innovative AI methods, software solutions and benchmarks for the Use Cases that ELSA focuses on: health, autonomous driving, robotics, multimedia, large language models, IT security and document intelligence.
