Our Belgian Functional Fibres factory participated in the traditional beach volleyball tournament dedicated to local companies. 🏐 We were present with 5 diverse teams: the sportsmen and women who play for victory, those who team up with their closest colleagues, and the teams who take part just for fun. Colleagues from our German sites visited Südzucker‘s close by experimental farm in Kirschgartshausen. Following the roots of BENEO’s products we got inspired by Dr. Peter Risser who gave very vivid insights into the current topics of research at the farm including modern cultivation methods, digital technology, targeted use of fertilisers and biodiversity. The farm exemplary shows that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand And these insights are also brought to life: being in close contact with contract farmers, the research results and innovative approaches are also incorporated into the cultivation of sugar beet, chicory root, wheat and faba beans, which form a large basis for BENEO's ingredients. Sustainable farming and sourcing starts with cultivation and the experimental farm is a key element in making BENEO’s value chain more sustainable. #FromFarmToFork #Sustainability #CareForThePlanet
