ALPMA GB at the International Cheese and Dairy Awards Last week, our subsidiary ALPMA GB LIMITED proudly attended the International Cheese & Dairy Awards (ICDA) in Stafford. As the only dairy trade show in the UK, this event marked a significant milestone as the Dairy Expo and ICA were merged, resulting in the largest exhibition of its kind in recent years with over 2,200 visitors and an astonishing 4,500 cheese entries. It was an important opportunity for us to showcase our innovations and exchange with industry leaders and enthusiasts. One of the highlights of the event for ALPMA GB was the annual trophy ceremony. This year ALPMA GB had the honour of awarding Wyke Farms for their exceptional Cheddar, which stands for the highest quality in cheese making. Before the official part with the usual figures, market data, news and capacity planning, the management and works council invited to a common lunch. This year, some colleagues from Sulbana Group, Sulbana Oy and the ALPMA USA LLC took part, who, like us, were looking forward to the personal exchange, the relaxed atmosphere and the sunny weather. A farewell and a new beginning: ALPMA thanks SELCUK IPLIKCIOGLU for 30 years of successful collaboration After more than three decades of loyality, we bid farewell to a very special employee as he enters his well-deserved retirement. SELCUK IPLIKCIOGLU, our valued representative and head of ALPMA Turkey in Ankara, has had an impressive career at ALPMA, characterised by dedication, professionalism and above all exceptional networking. Since Selçuk joined the ALPMA family 30 years ago, he has not only played a key role in ALPMA's success, but has also made a significant contribution to the expansion of our business relationships in Turkey. His ability to build and maintain relationships has opened many doors for us and led to successful contracts. Selçuk was not just a representative in the traditional sense, but a true all-rounder when it came to making new contacts and constantly expanding our network. He was THE ‘inventor of networking’ in our team and felt he knew everyone in the industry. We would like to thank Selçuk for his loyalty, outstanding performance and above all his commitment. Although Selcuk is now officially retiring, we are pleased to announce that he will continue to work as a consultant for ALPMA. His experience and expertise will continue to make an invaluable contribution in the future. At the same time, we would like to introduce our new representative for Turkey: Mr ilhami yigit, GMT Mühendislik company. With his extensive knowledge of the industry and his existing familiarity with ALPMA, he is the perfect choice to continue Selçuk's successful work and provide our customers in Turkey with the best possible support. We ran for those who can't! 🏃♂️💨 Last Sunday was a day full of team spirit, endurance and fun as we joined our French colleagues from Servi Doryl and ALPMA SERVI at the Wings of Life World Run in Munich. In keeping with our mission statement #ALPMAtogether, 30 colleagues put on their running shoes to collect kilometers together for a good cause. And what a success it was! Our team covered over 350 km, an impressive performance that not only proved our fitness, but also demonstrated the team spirit and excellent collaboration between our companies. It was fantastic to see our teammates motivating each other as we ran side by side to raise funds for spinal cord research. A big #thankyou to everyone who cheered us on and supported us! This run was more than just a sporting event - it was a symbol of our shared values and our determination to make a positive difference. ALPMA supports training with cheese-making equipment We at ALPMA are pleased to make a positive contribution to training in the field of food technology in Kosovo. In cooperation with Dr. Josef Fröhlich, Senior Expert Service (SES) Bonn, we have provided the training center Initiative for Agricultural Development (IADK) with a water bath, smaller cheese vats and various cheese moulds. This donation is part of our commitment to promoting education and training in the food industry. The cheese making equipment provides valuable resources for training unemployed women and youth, as well as training for technical teachers. We firmly believe that education is the key to sustainable development and are proud to contribute to the empowerment of local communities. Another successful week for ALPMA at #cheeseexpo in Milwaukee, the world's largest cheese and whey processing trade show! It was a pleasure to meet with our valued customers and industry colleagues, share expertise and make new contacts. The highlight of the show was definitely the 35th Biennale World Championship Cheese Auction. We were exhited to secure 10 pounds of award-winning Klondike Gold, one of the finest products of American cheesemaking. Proceeds from the auction benefit the entire industry by supporting WCMA scholarships and educational programs for dairy farm employees and suppliers.
