I’m a proud advisor of El Dorado and had the honor of sharing the story of one of their incredible users, Jonaiket, yesterday at the Equitable Tech Summit at the National Press Club in DC. Jonaiket is an incredible human whose story shows the power of p2p digital asset marketplaces for wealth creation and preservation in inflationary environments. It’s hard to fathom but Venezuela’s 2018 inflation hit 1.37 million percent resulting in the world's largest displacement crisis with over 7.7 million individuals invovled. Here is Jonaiket’s story: Jonaiket González, a 30-year-old Venezuelan, had to make the difficult decision to leave his country in search of better opportunities due to the economic crisis in Venezuela. His destination was Peru, but a significant obstacle arose: the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it difficult to find good opportunities. After the pandemic ended, he decided to return to his country. Upon returning to Venezuela, Jonaiket started looking for a job, but he couldn't find any available positions. He then decided to research online ways to generate income in USD over the internet. In his search, he discovered cryptocurrencies and P2P marketplaces. However, none of the available options suited him because he didn't have the minimum capital required to start trading on their platforms. During his research, he came across El Dorado, a P2P market that didn't require a minimum amount to start. He decided to invest the only $5 he had, which was a loan from his grandmother meant for a haircut, into P2P trading. This helped Jonaiket generate up to 700 USDT per month in profits, processing around 50 payments a day. Currently, Jonaiket highlights that El Dorado is his only source of income, and it is sufficient to cover all his expenses. https://lnkd.in/e9kckpwE
