How could Jesus be descended from the royal line of David if he was born of the Virgin Birth?
I hear you, but Mary was purely from the tribe of Judah. Not sure where the idea comes from that she had "mixed" blood, although it does lead to the immaculate conception idea in a way. Anyway, seed of David, He was.

When did the Catholic Church first introduce the veneration of Mary?
Theology re Mary. Perpetual virgin, they held a virgin in higher esteem than non-virgin (research vestal virgins). Jerome would invent the cousin theory to explain both young Mary and young Joseph as perpetual virgins, rather than theory from Infancy Gospel of James (old Joseph). Immaculate Conception, they believed baby got blood from mom, so mom needed pure blood (see Augustine link and John Damascus). Assumption, those in heaven have God's ear more than those on earth. It's all out there for anyone looking.

Well, I don't go along with the stepping stones to their conclusions either. But you didn't want commentary on right or wrong. I looked through the link and saw many more stepping stones to the hyperveneration arguments for Mary. But sorry, don't want to argue whether anyone else see's them. My apologies.

Benign form of veneration with veneration defined "honoring a saint". One could apply this definition to any of the apostles, as well as to Mary, plus many others through history. But now take a closer look at Irenaeus' words "advocate for Eve" or "the human race rescued by a virgin". These are the stepping-stones to what we now know of how veneration is applied to the mother of God. I'll try to expand the history through Augustine.

How do LDS explain the validity of their restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood?
From Link: This is indeed a sacred responsibility and includes you in a brotherhood with those ancient servants of the Lord. It is no wonder that we feel so humble when we participate in the ordinances assigned to the Aaronic Priesthood. Can you see that it is correct to call it the Aaronic or the Levitical Priesthood? It is a matter of designating duties; it is all one priesthood. Comment: the "connection" is one of sacrifice apparently. Does LDS view the Mass (a sacrifice in Catholicism) or sacrament/sacrifice (LDS?) as still under the Aaronic priesthood?

So, are you saying the bloodline of Aaron as to priests in the Mosaic Law was no longer needed, valid, or important? Christ was of Judah, not Aaron.

Who ordered Saint Stephen to death?
Here's a link to Ernest Renan History of the Origins of Christianity Book II Chapter VIII with the same idea; it was the Sadducees who were responsible. ccel.org/ccel/renan/apostles/apostles.xi.html

Is James (the author of the Epistle of James) in the category of apostles?
Traditionally, Mark assisted Peter and Luke assisted Paul. There's an argument from Pope Leo of Rome to Alexandria fuming that Alexandria wasn't cooperating about an issue. How can Alexandria claim to be founded by Mark if it isn't in agreement with his teacher Peter? Alexandria changed.
