Questions whose main focus is on E1, E2, E1cb, or any other type of elimination reaction.

Elimination reactions are frequent in organic chemistry. They mostly involve conversion of halo hydrocarbons to alkenes or alkynes.

E1 eliminations proceed through a carbocation intermediate, while E2 eliminations have a single-step, anti-peri-planar mechanism. E1cb elimination requires a strong electron withdrawing group at the alpha position.

Different bases like t-BuOK, NaNH2, alc. KOH perform different types of elimination. We also observe Satyzeff elimination and Hoffmann elimination.
