Last week, I was excited to meet our colleagues from Lucas Meyer Cosmetics for the first time in Quebec! This trip has provided a fantastic opportunity to connect face-to-face and discuss our strategy to meet our mid- to long-term targets, key priorities, and the integral role of the LMC acquisition in our future growth. I’m extremely grateful for the engaging Q&A session and everyone’s openness in sharing highlights and insights from their initial days with Clariant. It’s clear that our strength lies in our people, and the collaborative spirit is already shining through! Ensuring a smooth transition after an acquisition requires empathy, patience, personalization, and sensitivity. It’s crucial to understand and respect the cultures coming together and ensure that everyone feels valued, included, and part of the journey. Building a culture of belonging is essential for our collective success. It was energizing to be back in New York and connect with the Clariant Beauty & Personal Care team and our new colleagues from Lucas Meyer Cosmetics - by Clariant. Clariant showcased its latest innovations at the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists Suppliers’ Day. Our team unveiled CycloRetin™, a groundbreaking natural active ingredient for #skincare based on prince ginseng. Lucas Meyer Cosmetics presented Corneopeptyl™, a biomimetic peptide that strengthens the skin’s natural barrier function. Both products have been nominated as finalists for the CEW Beauty Award. It was also nice to be on the road again with our head of Investor Relations, Andreas Schwarzwälder, and our CFO, Bill Collins, engaging with our US investors to discuss our Q1 performance and our return to growth, fueled by sustainability innovations.
