Site Readiness Check - prioritizing safety before starting installation   Uze AG and Bühler AG's project team, led by Christian Geser, have officially declared the new Grain Innovation Center site ready for the dynamic and complex phase of equipment installation. This paves the way for a smooth transition to the installation phase for both mechanical and electrical equipment. The checklist helps to investigate and measure safety and progress-critical aspects such as completion of the civil work, all floor and wall openings covered or fenced off, escape routes marked and clear, good quality and sufficient tools ready for the installation company, workshop in sufficient size set up and much more.   A successful Site Readiness Check ensures a solid foundation for the detailed work ahead. It reinforces our focus on a highly efficient installation process.  The installation team under the lead of Jonas Meile has gone through an extensive site induction process with a safety-first orientation, reaffirming Bühler’s top priority of zero-accident working environments.   Our best wishes to the installation team at the start, and during this critical phase of the project: Jonas Meile, Bruno Senti, Ivan Dörig, Tobias Weder, Marco Sommer, Flurin Flepp, Christoph Manser and Manuel Rusch.

We’ve just published our annual results for 2023 – a year in which we proved our stability and financial strength thanks to our innovation power and our people. Our mindset of thinking long-term paired with the ability to quickly react to new developments enabled us to seize opportunities. Once again, our global network enabled us to be close to our customers in a year that was very volatile and dynamic. We expanded our broad portfolio of innovations geared to sustainability and increased our training offering.  Watch the interview with our Chairman Calvin Grieder and CEO Stefan Scheiber for more insights on the key drivers of our success, like food security and e-mobility, and dive into our Annual Report 2023 at https://lnkd.in/dkM256GM #innovationsforabetterworld

A resounding success: Installation Conference 2024! From the 3rd to 5th of January, we had the pleasure of hosting the Installation Conference in Uzwil, Switzerland. The event brought together a diverse group of over 50 colleagues, from 17 different nations, who are part of the Bühler Site Management organization. The commitment to safety was rewarded by the presentation of the Safety Award, which recognized an outstanding project and its safety practices. Hands-on safety trainings were also provided, ensuring that participants were re-equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to prevent accidents in their own work environments. In addition, a workshop for the Heads of Site Management provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and support within our global set-up, crucial for overcoming future challenges, team-spirit and ensuring safety and quality in all our installation activities world-wide. The conference concluded with a memorable social event, where participants had an opportunity to network, share experiences and enjoy the entertainment program. The successful event was a testament to the importance of collaboration and shared values within the Bühler Site Management organization. #InstallationConference #SafetyFirst #Quality #SiteManagement

We are currently installing two Carat 840 die-casting cells for Volvo Cars in Gothenburg, Sweden. Towering 7.6 meters high, these Megacasting machines are the size of a house. They provide 8,400 tons locking force and are capable to inject over 200 kilograms of liquid aluminum into a mold, producing a new component for an automobile within less than two minutes.   120 truck deliveries were required to transport the two cells to Gothenburg. After the assembly, one cell weighs more than 1,000 tons when commissioned. In every task, our team is always observing the highest levels of safety. On site setting up these machines, we have the Site Management team consisting of Mario Franke BUZ, Site Manager, and two Chief Installation Engineers, Raphael Gachnang and Carsten Mayer.   Learn more about Megacasting on our website: https://lnkd.in/eRyCdbjj #sitemanagement #megacasting #automotive #diecasting #innovationsforabetterworld
